I agree, tons of car for an eighth of a million dollars. The ad states the car has a yellow tachometer when it in fact has a black tachometer; but other than that, everything seems to be in order. I imagine the ad is real, but the salesman at the dealership is not on the ball. Hopefully he gets back to you soon, this is a great deal, and that car is beautifully specced.

I have this to say- I saw that car & gave it a quick once over & the option list doesn't seem to make sense

Besides that tach mentioned, it's says HTGS package when in fact it had Ceramic brakes, so it ought to be HGTC package. But the exhaust which is part of the package is listed separately and indeed the sport exhaust is missing from this car, unless those tips are an option of which I'm not aware.

It seems a lil odd to me, but my idea is that the options list doesn't go w/the car because this seems more like HGT2.

Sometime in early '08 they went to HGT2 which included those challenge wheels & that mannetino switching on the steering wheel, so this car is clearly an HGT2 car- so I'm further confused unless someone changed the exhaust- but who would do such a thing because HGT2 exhaust sounds better than most aftermarkets... ?

And the special leather interior seems to be the standard one, unless someone can please correct me on this--- And the chrome grill frame is missing completely, I have it on my car & I know exactly what it looks like

Additionally, the Atlanta listing mentions the panoramic roof which surely makes this an OTO car w/HGT2--- So in that case only the exhaust & grill are the only things that would need explaining

In any event- I don't know where they got the option list from, but it seems a mismatch... & at $136k the car is too cheap to be true for an '08, so I'm definitely a bit weary, but if the car is Ok, I'd jump in it if I were you & don't stop driving...

Moe- No, does not work like that at all. Late 07/early 08 612s and the Sessanta/OTOs had the F133H engine, which is only compatible with HGT2, not HGTS or HGTC, which went with the earlier F133F engine. Plus CCMs were standard on the OTO and Sessanta, but optional on early 08s, which also had HGT2 optional, as mentioned above.

HGT2 has nothing to do with the Manettino, which is only fitted to Sessanta/OTO 612s. The ad clearly states this car is an OTO.

If this car is a good one, it is a great deal.

We considered buying this car last year, in August 2012 from Ferrari of Washington. Unfortunately, as we were driving up to DC to see it, the salesman called us and said the car just sold. Right as we got there, we saw the new owner driving it off the lot.... beautiful car.

So, I never really got to examine it, but was prepared to pay about $160K for it, and I thought it was a bargain. Looks like a steal now.

    Terry-

I was hoping you'd chime in on this one.

It's def a OTO car w/HGT2- but the exhaust and grill are throwing me.

The exhaust makes no sense as its not the HGT exhaust and the grill that usually came with OTO cars is missing ( unless the car was bumped & the grill replaced )

Any buyer should chk this car out & run a Carfax- The ask is too cheap.

And I still say- the option list doesn't match the car. It's clearly HGT2 and the ad says HGTS- And that's jus' one of the inconsistencies.

Anyway- It's a Great value- We all agree on that!- If the car is in nice condition...

I think the ad has a lot of misinformation in it. Is it possible that the car is just an OTO with the ceramic brakes as a separate option?

As to the previous owner selling it for so much $$ less than he paid, I was told he bought the car to fill a void while he was waiting for his new Porsche 911 Turbo, which was on order. Perhaps he just wanted to sell it quickly.

Andrew- CCMs were standard on the OTO. If it has a glass roof, it is an OTO since all the Sessantas were built in 2007. Note in the photos you can see the electric roof dimmer panel and the Manettino on the steering wheel, so it is an OTO.

That does not look like an HGT2 exhaust (no HGTS or HGTC on OTOs, regardless of what the ad says), which has a double wall tailpipe. But the owner could have gone aftermarket for some reason. Here is an HGTx set of tailpipes. The tach is buried so deep, hard to tell the color of the unlit face. Here are pre-OTO 08 and OTO window stickers. Price on HGT2 is about right.

appreciate everyones help.. other weird things- called office twice- no answer, no VM. strange you would have a business to sell things and have to voice mail set up. called cell, left VM- no call back.. sent email- no response. but, asked a question via ebay and got email back. deliberately asked him a stupid question, just to see if he knew what he was talking about (* his long list of cars sold does not include many, if any, ferraris) and he responded correctly. I will keep trying.

also, car had same grill and exhaust in 2011 in the FOA ads. maybe its an early OTO, and has some crossover parts-? but another thing- the car looks black, not metallic, and FOA has it listed as metallic black- maybe its just the photography. I agree - the option list isn't correct so Ill ask jonathan where he got the info from… if I can ever reach him. He has several bad reviews on ebay with buyers claiming he misrepresented a car, but many good reviews as well.

spoke to him. also spoke with F of Washington.. broker states he got list of options from FNA, couldn't read some, and went to web to find translation. thats where he got the info from, not from owner or a window sticker. so he thinks he may have just misread some of the codes. Still its a beautiful color combination, and garage kept, no shrinking leather issues.

henry, those darn kids keep me in the 4 seaters for a few more years. I am taking the 190 over to show noman on nov 8th I think.

UPDATE- it turns out car is legit and in great condition. Spoke also to dealership who did servicing- annual fluids a few hundred miles ago, no other problems identified though the glovebox latch was repaired and if it breaks again it may need a new latch. Boroscoped the belts and they look fine but if I can't prove they have been replaced, it will be time to do and replace the front tires as well in the next year. the great news is the car is in superb shape, has had all its servicing at just 2 dealers, and has only 2 owners, and a perfect dash with no shrinkage. Also has both keys, the code card, charger, cover, all documents- meaning a very original un-bastardized car with 2 caring owners.

And the nero daytona/cuoio combination is superb, IMO. I bought it.

It is amazing to me how many cars are out there that only have one key, and none of the original pieces. I feel thats a surrogate marker for less than attentive ownership, and suggests the car has bounced around like a nomadic wanderer. I had been looking at one at Scottsdale Ferrari- with daytona seats- but it was non-OTO and dash had significant shrinkage- so much so that the staples up front had pulled out, and the under dash was exposed but the windshield. Still, I think thats a great car if you can get it for less than their asking price, and the salesman there was awesome.

Michael- Good show. OTOs are the pick of the litter for 612s, especially if she has HGT2, so you got a great deal.
