Does anyone live near Asheville and would not mind driving by and seeing the car? I am skeptical buying without service records but I can gamble buying without seeing and shipping to Texas if someone will confirm it is as described. John
The rule I have always heard is " No documentation, did not happen". Applies to medicine and maintainence. If I purchase the car, it will need to go to the dealer for major sevice. I think it significantly affects the value of an otherwise good car . What do you think the car should appropriately sell for?
haha you're WAY too nice Daniel. That is the local Benz/Chrysler/Mitsu/whatever dealer, they are absolutely the most horrible place around. My family has purchased 2 jeeps, 3 benzes from them and they have never been anything but a bunch of low lifes, plain and simple. Be that as it may, I'd drop by and look at the car and give it the once over and take more detailed pics of noted trouble areas. But, you'd have to tell me what to take pics of haha! ~mark
Drjohn I will be in Ahseville later this week for The Carolina Trophy, I'd be happy to go look at it for you. Wade www.auto-corsa.com www.308qvregister.com
I live in Asheville as well......if need be let Mark or I know we can take pics/video whatever. It looks fairly clean from the pictures.
I have been speaking with the owners several times ( Jason Pye). He has been very nice and forthcoming with information. He is checking on transporting to Dallas and we are going to talk tomorrow. If someone would go by, take a good look and possibly have them at least start it to see what you think I would be eternally grateful! I am planning on buying this car tomorrow unless I get some negative info, but since I will not get to see the car before it arrives in Texas, I am a little apprehensive. THANKS!!!!
Just checked the VIN. According to 308 QV Registry, the car is a Euro model. Without any documentation, registering could be an issue.

Wow! Roll back...roll back again....roll back again.......roll OVER! Seems like some kind of karma at work there...... Good work, Wade
THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!! To everyone that reads this- that guy told me the car was an 8 out of 10 and no damage or stories. UNFREAKINGBELIEVALBE!!! I think I am going to fly to Asheville and discuss some Texas Justice with him. He is supposed to call me this afternoon with bids on transport. I told him I was stepping out on a limb but he promised the car was perfect. The more I think about it the madder I am getting.
Well, now come on there's two ways to look at everything! All those new body panels are rust free! *snare drum rim shot*
