does anyone know anything about this car? 05 Gallardo SE 18000 miles http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchDetails.aspx?itemid=1033379 thank you
I actually know the owner, didn't know he was that interested in selling though. Here are some pictures I took of it a couple years ago. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That might actually be about right. Color is a plus, mileage is a negative, in terms of price I mean. Was 15K service done? Have all service records? Tire and brake condition? Egear snap?
I never did understand why dealerships don't employ a decent photographer, surely someone who works there knows their way around a camera.
We had a discussion a while back about whether or not a dealership had a pink Maser GranTurismo. It was decided that it was red but washed out.
I just don't get it, you're selling $100k-250k cars and you can't get decent pictures taken, it's the same with realtors much of the time, horrible photos. Back on topic, I spoke with the owner and I think he's going to check out this thread later today.
not to thread hi-jack, but I worked not far from there from time to time in my first few years out of college. As in right next door. When I would roll through my store, i would always stop by FOW and see what they had...I had finished walking around the shop and proceeded to leave via the side lot where they keep the cars that are in for service (I had a plane to catch to go my next location) I noticed a salesman with a point and shoot, snapping pictures away of a then new 612. Which ended up in a for sale advert. Not judging, I am just saying...it blows my mind too. I know point and shoots can produce awesome pictures along with photoshop but i have seen better pictures produced from a disposable camera at a frat party.
The se's are all 06 models. Green SE's are really rare. A similar verde non se would probably be able to be bargained to 105-110 so you have to decide what the se is worth to you.
You think so Raj? I feel like since winter the prices have taken an upward turn. I know you have been much more into the market but i havent been seeing the prices (or availability of the good colors orange, green, so on) getting that low on 06's. I would say you would have a much better bet getting a price like that from a private seller as compared to a dealer. Again, i think you have been much more involved in this then I so im more just curious. Kevin got his car back in march for more then that and you know his car well and back then it was a pretty decent deal....
Kevin, It's all relative. Asking prices rose last year because dealers bought up/traded stock and jacked up asking prices in preperation for the summer season. Other Kevin's car was a good buy but more so because he bought a known car from a trustworthy person. I think that was worth a premium. I know of a few purchases or at least bargained prices that have been out there recently. Now you know orange white and green SE's command a premium, or at least set the bar. I saw grey se's with similar miles selling for 100k even just last month. So you have to ask yourself is the green se worth 25k (25%) more than a grey one? If so you have your answer.
If the car is "right" with records and such, price is a tough thing if you are after a rare bird like a VI SE or a white 08 Superleggera.
how much does a 06 cost? allot of people are saying it is about $100 to $1100 k, but so far i have not seem anything close to it.
