According to the vin appears to be a Euro spec car, as long as you're not in CA title and reg shouldn't be a issue. Perfect color combo and a stick. Very nice car.

Yes, like alexkam said, it is a Euro car, be sure that it is legal for the State you are registering it in.
I did not notice tensioner bearings on replaced parts on belt job, check to see that was done.

"...highly desirable black calipers" hmmm didn't know mine was optioned that way. :) Also says Challenge grills front and rear hmm I guess mine was also optioned with front Challenge grilles. Errors apart this looks like a very nice car. Wonder if the "major service" referred to includes the 30k service?

I'm pretty sure this is a car I was trying to buy from the owner about a year ago and he wasn't ready to sell at the time. I first saw it at Alex Traverso's shop and fell in love with it. At the time it had 430 wheels on it. obviously he put the stock starfish back on but that's ok because the car is a stand out no matter what wheels are on it.

The previous owner is a Air Force fighter pilot who will make the most meticulous person seem like a slacker. combine him with Alex Traverso servicing the car and you have a match made in Ferrari Heaven.

I'm actually a little bummed to see this for sale as I was not given the opportunity to have first crack at it as requested. It could be that the owner knew I just snapped up a 8,000 mile 348 spider from a family member and probably wasn't looking to get a divorce over getting another car.
Anyway, this is a car that won't disappoint if it was in fact Bob's car.....and I'm pretty sure it is.

" Bob " is the first name on the VIN In Modis, so I am betting you are correct as well.

Think I'm going to go ahead and get her then. Anyone know of a good Ferrari mechanic in AZ that I can have check this out for me? Also I'm pretty sure I can register this in Colorado, but not completely sure? Anyone know where I can find that information?

I have had experience with two independent shops in Phoenix area ...IMO, Andy Falbo in Fountain Hills is the best there is. My car is serviced there and I can only speak most highly of Andy and Jon at Ferrari Motor Service ...

If you have been finding cars similar to this spec for 54k, please point me in the right direction?!

Seems like just about any decent 6spd sells for 75-85k from the 2 years I have been watching prices.

If you get it.. make sure your PPI gives you an explanation for the crap half @$$ wiring and I presume thermistor in the rear drivers side cam cover. God I hate it when the eurospec conversion process adds all this crap to the car that leads to shorts and strangeness. Also Have told what the wiring behind the rear drivers wheel does. Neither the above is on my euro. Ditto on the price above.

I was going to add, ask why the transmission cooler was changed ?
Leaking or just preventive while in there ....?
Why was a used cooler installed ?

may not mean anything, just good to get the story.

On the price, seems a little steep for a Euro car, while nothing wrong with them
they seem to net 5-10 % less than non Euro.
If all checks out, and you want it, try high 60's , all they can say is no.

I'm saying this car is not worth the asking price. It ought to sell for way under. That's not to say you will find an identical car at a better price but you should find a better car at a better price.

There are BIG gaps between asking and selling. I have tracked the 360 market for 6 mo looking for a Spider and I found what I was looking for at a price that was realistic... If a Ferrari Dealer had my car in the showroom it would be overpriced by $15-$20K.

The jury is out on 6 speed manual vs F1. There was a sticker difference but I don't think its flipped around to a manual being more valuable. Its personal preference and I wouldn't judge until you have owned both (not tried both; owned both!).

Ask yourself "if I had to sell this car tomorrow for some un for seen personal reason, how much would I lose?" I think you'd be eating $20 large on this car as priced. But if you can swallow that, go for it. I always consider my exit strategy. I'm not trying to make money but I'm trying not to loose too much either. I think you can do better.

While I think this is quite a nice car its buy number should realistically be in the mid 60's. I'm sure this dealer is in it way back of that. Scottsdale dealers seem to think they can ask all the money......and they do because they have such high zip code overhead. in the end it's still up to you to decide if it's worth it.

The asking is correct for the market today. If the car is solid. I will try to post the data tomorrow.

If you read the repair order for replacing the transmission cooler carefully you will note that they used degreaser which in my mind says that the original one failed and put oil in the coolant system. It doesn't say what effect that had on the transmission. If I were purchasing this car I would insist that the PPI drain both the transmission oil and coolant to have them evaluated for contamination. The used heat exchanger would worry me unless they thoroughly checked it before installation.
    Just my two cents worth.

In theory I agree... but I don't think any PPI would do this unless the buyer would pay for a fluid change. If you were selling this car and some guy came along and wanted the fluids drained so they could look at it. Would you want to pay for it? The price for the PPI would go up a few hundred bucks. Its kinda like saying you want to pull the clutch to check it on a PPI. Aint gonna happen.

You're probably right Curt -- although knowing that this car has had a heat exchanger problem it may be worth the additional cost of the PPI.

Here is the data I have collected this year for the 18 manual coupes that have come up for sale. There have been 20 up for sale this year but Paul Walkers didnt meet it's reserve price on Ebay so I am not showing it and one listed at Marshall Goldman that they must have sold quickly because I never saw the price and then it was no longer listed

$80,000 USD for a car with 22K miles seems to be the price/miles crossing point.

Asking prices are relative to the sellers understanding of the market and the condition of their car so use as you see fit.
