I looked at a yellow 98 Diablo Roadster today. Vin ZA9RU31B6WLA12019.

I know Carbon and some other guys track FCar vins and i was wondering if anyone had any info on this vin. I was told its a USA car but the odometer is in KM ( 12xxx) which set off my spidey sensors. It also seems to be priced slightly below market.

having said that the car seems a little rough around the edges. Leaking power steering fluid. Exhaust sounds like crap. Clutch felt fine. Tires need replacing. If I seriously consider it Ill have a PPI done first.

Anyway..if anyone knows this vin or can run a carfax that would be greatly appreciated.

If posting the vin in public violates a rule let me know and Ill delete the thread.

All the Diablo odometers are in kilometers so I would not be bothered by that. However, the other issue you raise are concerning. As you said, a good PPI is a must. If there are significant issues, you may want to keep looking or price accordingly (read - big price reduction). There are a number of good roadsters out there. Best of luck.

    In KM until 98.

As for the VIN, Roy (ROYTOY) might be able to help you as well. He knows a great deal of the Lamborghinis out there, as he's owned most of them :).

That car was used as a RENTAL car for EXOTIC RENTALS for a while, it has had numerous owners......

I do not know what happened to it after I lost track of it 5 months ago, bought by a guy in Florida......

I think he poured some money into, but has had no luck.....

I would say the car is worth NO MORE than $110K with the LAST know condition it was in......

DO NOT FORGET, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!

not sure if you're set on the roadster but you might want to consider looking into one of roy's 6.0s ....i enjoy my 6.0 much more than my former 97.5 diablo roadster.

if it was a rental previously... I wouldnt touch it. They beat the crap out of rentals.... But for the right price I guess its worth it.
