    Hello,

I have been trying to reach Tom Shaughnessy since November of last year. I have left emails, phone messages, and also numerous instant messages. Is he okay?

I bought a car from him 2 years ago....and there are still some parts that he owes me for a PF coupe.

I have bought many cars over the years from him, so I know Tom pretty well. It appears that he is deliberately ignoring me, and this is definitely NOT "cool"......

Has anyone had the same experience?

(Any lawyers on this list.... ? )

    Regards

    Paul Vasquez

I have heard (from BrianP) that Tom was captured by a gang of distraught vintage Ferrari owners and held for ransom, when no one was willing to pay up, the gang decided to get the money by parting Tom Shaughnessy out on E Bay. Some parts are in the original wax paper wrappers.

Please note that his liver is much higher in mileage than it appears...

hmmm. a reference to fava beans and chianti comes to mind . .

leave me out of this. I am too busy installing my lovely, like-new interior I recently bought from Mr. Shaughnessy. Will post pics soon. As Tom would say "ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER."

    Erik,

If you go into the countryside a bit to the north, you can find little roadside places with wine on tap. It's surprisingly good considering its on tap (or maybe its just the setting...enjoy).

    Ciao Art.

I agree, there are some great places that are off the tourist maps. We had a fabulous meal in a different place in Tivoli last night with a beautiful sparkling white wine. I'm staying about a mile down the road from the quarry where they got the stone to build the Colosseum. Four star place but I doubt you'll find it in any Fodor's guide...

We're going into Rome to a little place a stones throw from the Vatican for dinner tonight. I wonder what the chef can do with Tom's liver that I overpaid for. Still it was a bargain, it didn't come with the pouch!

    :D

How about onions? Did it come with onions?

Or at least did it come with the original Warranty Card?

Oh merda, there were supposed to be onions? I knew I should have done my homework before I bid on it.

I checked the warranty card, it looks like a photocopy. I think I got screwed on this deal...

I believe it was just around the same time that Tom decided to take up avocado farming and give up the Ferrari parts bussiness, perhaps you should try trading fertilizer for the needed parts.

Paul, Tom is just a hard guy to get hold of sometimes, but I'm sure he'll straighten everything out.

You had a deal with him and didn't take delivery of all the parts at the time you paid for it? Sounds like you dropped the ball. Then you waited 2 years, watch the cars double in value and now claim it is "...not cool...".

In fact, by bringing your personal question into A PUBLIC forum, you are exercising very poor form, is this typical of the style of all your dealings?

Paul, with only this single post, it appears that you have registered on this site for the sole purpose of taking a public jab at Tom. While you might feel frustrated by whatever has transpired between the two of you, this forum is not your personal soap box. Please take your fight elsewhere.

If, on the other hand, you would like to make a positive contribution to our Vintage forum, feel free to post photos of you PF coupe along with any known history. We always appreciate good pics.
