I'm not even sure I'm posting in the right section. These were left over from a 308 to GTO conversion we did. I haven't a clue as to what they are or how much they're worth, but would appreciate it if you guys could shed some light as to what these are and what they came off of.

    thanks,

    amir

They are 390 mm diameter wheels, which came on 1980 - 1982 308's. Ferrari briefly went with metric wheels and tires in that time frame (Boxers came with 415 mm wheels, for example). As far as I know, the only tires that fit these wheels today are 390 mm Michelin TRX tires; they cost around $400 apiece.

Quite a few folks have replaced these wheels with 16" inch wheels, either the factory QV wheels or aftermarket wheels, such as the reproduction "Superperformance" wheels. There are a lot more choices of 16" tires of high quality and much cheaper price.

As a result, therre is not much market for the 390 mm wheels. (I hestitate to say none; there are always those who strive to maintain originality, at least for show).

These wheels are in horrible shape - I spent over $1,600 having my OEM Mags refinished. The metrics aren't worth the money to bother - I have seen sets on eBay for $400, and no takers. They'd be good for a garage coffee table, and that's about it.

I have a set of 390's I'd be willing to part with for $400 :D

Thanks for the insight fellas. It appears these won't bring much, if anything, they're going to go on eBay for $5.00 starting bid + shipping. If anyone in the L.A. area wants them, make me an offer, any offer, and you can probably have them.

EDIT: wise3, hope you don't mind, i'm going to quote the info from your post on the auction page.

    I don't mind.
If you want to be picky, I think the early '83's came with them as well, but I wouldn't put money on it....

Like you, tried selling the metrics. Got tired of having them here so (literally) threw them away, as they were taking up needed space for needed race car rims/tires. No regrets.

As far as I know TRX tires are available and some (not sure which ones fit these rims) are cheaper then the XWXs.
