Do some searches, the best thing is to remove the dash and have it recovered.

Having yours recovered is ALOT less than new or buying a used one that may peel away 2 weeks after you get it..just a thought...

Absolutely true!! I just got a new one in which retails for over $2000 and having set on the shelf for about 3 years it was already coming unglued in spots. Recover will be better than the original.....as a matter of fact you can do it yourself. When you remove your old covering, use it as a template to cut your new piece.......very easy job to install.

All true except for one little item---------------be more generous with the leather at the leading edges (behind the windscreen) than the factory was.

BTW, fill out your profile so that we know where you're located. If I knew that you were on the west coast, I'd tell you to call Fernando @ PRESTIGE FERRARI UPHOLSTERY (818) 753-9606.

    Good luck & cheers, Hank

There were 2 different dash sub-structures used on the 355...and 2 different methods for attaching the leather at the leading edge at the windscreen. The most current dash uses an 1 1/4" return which was both glued and stapled....the leather may cum loose everywhere else, but it ain't gonna budge on the leading edge at the wind screen.

If your dash covering leather is in good shape, just re-strecth it...glue and staple(if fiberglass).

I've been toying with the idea of doing this exact thing. Can anyone give me any specific instructions as far as material, etc? I am mildly inclined mechanically but have zero knowledge of upholstery and materials.

If you can get the dash out, the Mad Stitcher (John Dutton) does all of the FOA stuff. He did my seats last winter and they look amazing.
