anyone know where to get a really good secretary?

I really need one. Basically just do all the basic stuff, emails, phone calls etc. Must know how to use word and office apps. In an ideal world would have some familiarity with multimedia technologies (video, web, print, etc). Its been so hard and everyone ive interviewed has not really been upto par...any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

P.S. Security clearance is a very nice plus.

If you're really looking for a good "secretary" you must know that they don't use that term anymore. Try looking for a good Personal Assistant or Office Manager or some such. Plenty of headhunters out there to use, otherwise Craig's List or Yahoo Jobs, etc.

Yeah its what I write in the postings. I dont write secretary but just posted really quickly and didnt think about it. Tried craigs list, monster, and dice but no luck.

 

Hiring is always a tricky thing. You have to review your posting in context with other similar posts in the same area, etc. You can also view resumes on Craigs List and actually pro-actively contact people. Finally, you just have to wait and sift through candidates. If all of this doesn't work, find a got temp or placement agency and let them find you a perm or temp candidate. Heck, you can even make it a contract gig.

I would really try wordsmithing your ad, it's an art, but you have to write to make appealing to potential candidates.
