Wow, Dave. I guess that it is only logical to shift to 400i donor chassis since the prices for 250GTEs have risen so much.

It is not a good development for all the same reasons that too many 250 PF and 250 GTE chassis have been sacrificed to make replicas. Even with Ferrari drivetrains, they are still replicas.

Yep I thought the same thing Ash. It seems if you want a V12 Ferrari engine for a project you look to the 400 series car.

I'm sure you know about this 400i, #37647, but other lurkers here might not

    Dave,

The last one is one of the few rebodies that is ArtS approaved.

The first two are pathetic - if you are going to kill an ellegant original car at least make it into an original work of art, not a poor knock-off.

    Regards,

    Art S.

Recklus.com a South American body builder. They have a 330 for sale on their web site. They also do 1930's race caer bodies and do an excellent job with very high standards.

Actually have thought about buying a low end 400 and having them recreate my 1959 Factory Testa Rossa race car. The cost would be about 100 grand plus the donnor and shipping. It was a thought, that got out of hand cost wise. anyway its a neat site to visit.
