I think it sold on ebay....not that long ago. Maybe a year ago? I think I remember seeing it had 16 owners on the carfax.

I could be wrong, but it looks like the same car. I thought he was asking 56K for it on ebay.

Cuz the market SUCKS. I dont know the car but I can tell you my 348 has been left at the alter 3 times now one due to financing, one because the buyer found a 355 he liked better, and one because he wanted to spend less. There is no problem with my car at all based on independent PPI. Its just waiting for the right buyer. I'll assume this 355 is in the same place.

Isn't our general rule-of-thumb NEVER by a car from Florida?

I would not go that far, but a very careful check is required. I would love to have a "driver" 355B for $40K range but ... that is hard to find.

I looked into this car last year, back when I was still in the hunt. At the time it was for sale in California by an independent dealer. For me it had too many stories and little to no documentation. I think it has had a recent major (need to be certain exactly what that entailed), but when I looked into it last year there was no maintenance history at all and was told by the dealer that they were sure it had some majors done, but they had no docs to show it. It had a ton of owners listed on carfax...some of those were actually dealers during times where it was offered for sale, so the actual count was less...but still a lot. It also had an accident listed, with no documentation of what actually happened. Note that I was searching for a pristine far so this one did not meet my criteria, but if that's not what you're after then this car might be good for you at the right price. I'd dig into the history and get a proper PPI done if I was considering this car.

Aha -- that's what I suspected. Not a dealbreaker for me, as I do my own work and don't really care how many owners a car has had. Might be an opportunity to get a nice car on the cheap.

Not that I don't like silver, but I am sure that if it was red it would have sold already.

Is it me or does it seem that prices have taken another little dip recently, even for well sorted cars. I guess it may be that the driving season is nearing the end. Just wondering.

I'm the owner of the car and had bought it from CA. It had an engine out and I have the receipts for the service car drives great. Only reason it has been on the market is I had been back and forth on selling it. So far I have put about 2,000 problem free miles on the car and enjoy it. As far as previous owners on carfax there is 6-7, but I have a breakdown from the dealer that showed 4 previous and then me, so 5 total. All in all I enjoy the car and drive it at least once a week. The autotrader ad has been up as I have not cancelled it since I paid for the ad to run till it sells, but I am not actively marketing it at this time. If your truly interested in it feel free to reach me and I will consider an offer.

I actually never saw a red Ferrari while visiting Italy, saw few black/silver/gray ones in Paris.

I've only had red color car once during my high school days, and unfortunately I couldn't secure a spot in the garage, the red slowly turned into pinkish color later on, never bought a red car since then and never plan to buy another one.

355 Dreamer had posted many details about that car in the past and I'm pretty sure IIRC, it was in an accident at one point. When it was last for sale on Ebay I thought it looked great but was for sale for a long, long time...

Like we've said before. Never buy a car from Florida. All the crap ends up there.

I've never heard of this 'til now, but noticed the cars from Florida tends to be little cheaper than other states.

Interesting, at least people I know here in NW typically try to avoid cars from East coast, due to the heavy snow = salt on the road compared to WA, OR, and CA states.

Unfortunately, that's not far from the truth. Lot's of so-called "high-line" dealers flipping to the uninformed who are buying sight-unseen.

    However, never say never... ;)

For me, there are plenty of great cars in CA, AZ and NV so why go across the country?
