Either the car or the dealer? http://www.chariotsofpb.com/main.php/inventory/detail?car_id=1767 Looks like a solid example, but the price is much higher than what esle I've found out there... Feedback greatly appreciated!
for that kind of dough you can buy an excellent 348. Don't know them though. Not even heard of them. If they are Morgan dealers, that simply means that they probably not cross many parths with Ferraris. Scotty may know. He knows an owner with a Morgan in that area.
Regarding the price, I agree with you. But there's one issue, I only want the 328 It seems people in the 328 forum think the price is ok...I would expect to pay 47.5 for it though. I know you have significant experience with pricing, martin, what are your thoughts?
They've been around a long time, selling preowned higher-end autos. Looked at a 355 there when I began my search about a year ago. They were straight shooters, willing to negotiate and also to send a car out for a PPI. They always have a Ferrari or two on their lot. It's worth a drive up from Miami to check it out, IMO. If you could get it for the $47.5K, go for it.
The 328 looks so good dressed in black.... (I know that has nothing to do with what you asked, but I couldn't help offering my opinion)
Scottie also has Chef's metallic black 328 for sale. It is listed on Ferrariads.com and has had some good recent services and tires... Just a thought for comparison. BT
I think the 328 is nowhere near worth that. The 328 sucks compared to the 348. My personal opinion. So to me the 328 is worth $35K. I rather go with a 308 and have a real classic look than the wanna-be modern, but really am old 328. Ask me how I really feel
I didn't see that one on ferrari ads...but I have looked at this car in the past and came very close to buying it. When it comes down to it for me, I prefer the black not metallic.
Ask for Chris Perrotta, He will be straight with you. Do your home work on the car before you purchase. (Carfax, paint work, ownership, service records, etc.) Tell him Tony Rienzi sent you and you would like him to be as straight with you as he would be with me and I know he will be up front with you. He is a stand up guy in my opinion. My number is 407 587 6807 if you need an expert to look at the car , call me I am a private collector and retired Exotic car restorer. if you need me to run a Carfax for you just email or call and I would be glad to help a fellow collector my site and contact info www.ubercarcollector.com (under construction) [email protected] 407 587 6807 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Chariott is good people. They have a lot of oddball cars - Morgan, Caterham, MG, etc. Always entertaining to drop by. They do sell other high line exotics, including Ferraris, from time to time but wouldn't say that that is the bread and butter of their business. I have never done a deal with them, but always found them to be nice and knowledgable. Of course, even if I was buying a car from my best buddy Martin, I would get a PPI. I agree with the opinions on the price (it is a little high). However, I tend to disagree on the 328/348 discussion. I think a later 328 is a better, potentially more reliable, driver. After almost 20 years developing the drivetrain Ferrari had it pretty darn right and I always loved the 308 / 328 bodywork. OTOH, any 348 that is still on the road should be pretty good at this point - as any of the initial issues with its electrical system or drivetrain should have been addressed more than a decade ago. I guess that Martin's passion for the 348 has rubbed off on me a little and I am not so cynical as I used to be about them. Scottie
