Calm down Mr Mustard, you have not unearthed rare news I'm afraid. The brokers have made money out of this truck more than once & its been hawked around the concours/auction circuit several times, plus has been parked at Pebble Beach venues. Also widely advertised in classic car mags. It would appear nobody is rushing to buy it. It doesn't need more free advertising here.
of course, the Talacrest site is a rich source of re-posting material for the fchat spam brigade, go for it guys!
Talacrest are in the business of separating rich d*ckheads from their cash and they're very good at it. I'm surprised Chris Evans hasn't bought the truck, perhaps they should paint it white?
Gee Ian you are a cruel man, but yes that transporter has been around for a long time. Is it the same one that Tom Shaughnessy had years ago that was in real tatty condition? He had a photo of it on his old business cards.
I have a no-expense-spared modified car trailer that we paid $600 for. We just cut the side rails off and welded them back on in the most outboard position we could achieve. It also has no suspension, so gives a low loading angle. Very bouncy to tow when empty... I'd prefer an enclosed trailer, but my neighbours would not be happy to have it parked in the street. They are very sensitive about having their views interrupted. As it is, I'm able to tuck the existing trailer away in a little dead-end part of the street that isn't too noticeable.
do like i did, parked a 20 foot box trailer in my mothers front garden Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awwww, I think it's really cute... cars are out in the open when they're being driven so what's the big deal with being transported open? Would look great going down the road loaded with my 308 and Bambino!!
