Is anybody planning to reproduce that small rubber bellows which covers the opening of the conduit that a Dino throttle cable runs through? The bellows goes over the opening of the conduit and has a small hole on the end which the cable runs through. The bellows go in and out when the cable moves but because this piece is made of rubber and gets exposed to the elements when driving, it tends to get dry and crack.

See the attached photo if you don't know what I'm talking about.

    Cheers,

    Keith

    Hi Keith,
I don't know about the throttle cable application, but Dinoparts.de and Ricambi America sell clutch cable boots, which are similar in appearance. I replaced 'em on a couple of Dinos. I didn't compare them directly, but they might be a workable susbstitute. I'll dig through my used parts bin & see if I can compare one of the old clutch boots with the throttle bellows on my car. I'll let you know if we're in luck!

My guess is that someone out there has found a better/less expensive/locally available item from a Honda, a Ford...or whatever. They will likely chime in, once they read your request. Hey, it may be raining boots & bellows before long!

I have a NOS original bellows and it doesn't fit very well. Too small to fit over the tube the throttle wire exits from. My old one was split from being too small. I think finding a modern replacement that fits a little better is the way to go.

The throttle cable boot from a Porsche 914 is what I use, might have an extra - let me dig through some boxes.

Wow, I'll have to look on line for a 914 boot. Thanks for the tip!
