Yeah.. that's not in neighborhood. Thanks for the reply though. I can't get any answers from the seller regarding condition, so its not looking too good anyhow.
Probably best to let it go, Ferraris I've seen here in Montana are pretty rough- difficult driving conditions and not a lot good wretches up here. These should not be confused with all the Ferraris in other parts of the country running around with Montana plates due to sales tax "opportunities" that are unique to Montana. When I moved here the 512 didn't make any sense, hated to sell it but that was the right thing to do.
I lived in Montana all my life(52yrs)until I moved to CO 6 years ago. I owned six different fcars up there and had friends that have owned various fcars there also over the last 25 years and have only seen two that were somewhat neglected and those 2 came into the state in that condition so I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Ferraris from MT. Also I don't know where you are driving but the roads up there are far better than most states even considering the freeze thaw problems they have to deal with. One of the better places to enjoy what these cars were made for. I know that car exits in Ronan but have not personally looked at it. I do know it hasn't been there all that many years and as said before who knows what kind of condition it was in when it came into the state, ie; you can't blame Montana for its condition.
If you haven't driven MT, you're missing out. The roads are great, specifically the view. I have friends up there that take weekly drives in GT40s, Bimmers etc and they never complain. Sure the driving times are limited throughout the year but it's a great place to live and drive if you like country living. Mechanics may be a different story but issue certainly isn't the roads or places to go.
