I was just wondering how many of you are content with your current model and don't even THINK about selling it vs. those that constantly look forward to their next acquisition.

Not what I expected but I understand the results. I initially thought the 360 Stradale was the car I wanted but after seeing one went for a 355. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I haven't seen a "new" one that I like except the 550. On the other hand I smile when younger people write that the 348 and 355 have too many straight lines. To each his own, I'm keeping this car.

I love my current car (1990 F40) and can't imagine ever selling it. But I still think about what I want next... Just because you like your current car doesn't exclude desiring another.

I'm hoping to get and keep several cars over the next several years each to fill a certain use/desire. Once I buy one I don't imagine I'll sell it.

If I were to aquire them all today I would probably end up with:

    1. F40 --- Pure fun. To me the ultimate ferrari. Also to show.
    2. 612 Scaglietti --- Weekend car with the family.
    3. 575 SuperAmerica --- Touring car. Fill the convertible need.
    4. 360 Challenge --- Track car (actually I wanted to put a 333SP here but I was trying to keep somewhat realistic)

Don't we all have a dream garage?

I'm too new to this to give you a meaningful survey response. When I get a car I really like, I tend to keep it a while. Others I get bored with. I'm clearly hoping the 328 is a keeper. It's not a money thing - I don't really want a 360 a 430.

I think Ferrari makes such different models that, if you're not hung up on getting the newest of the new, you would kind of find your flavor (e.g., 355) and stick with it. In a way they're each limited edition works of art, so the "newer is better" argument is almost a sign of ignorance. ("Wouldn't you really rather have a 2005 Ferrari instead of a 1972?")

I do get bored fast with my daily drivers, which I either lease or buy lightly used so I can change cars every 2-3 years without too much financial heartache.

I have had a 328 GTB that is 110% sorted and it just came back from the major and there were alot of "while you are at its" done. I bought it 6 years ago and it has 52,000 miles- 17,000 of them mine. 98 point national show car.

I also have a 1967 330 GT 2+2, which I have had 1.5 years. Probably $30,000 has been spent by me and previous owner correcting cosmetic issues and 38 years of deferred maint. Very very nice driver condition and good to go now.

As you could tell, I have NO desire right now for another. Not enough energy, time, money, space to get another

    Jerry,
I think you should have another criterion in which owners are not bored with their currently owned cars but are still looking forward to the next acquisition.
I would fit into that category.

Accumulation by acquisition, why sell a car you love! The more the better!

OK, easy to say but finite funds and parking forces decisions to rue later! I do miss my 328GTS, 1966 Mustang Fastback, and 1987 Porsche 930………
