Anyone on here own 308 GTS QV #052263? I found the warranty booklet.

It's possible - someone here has a car in that very color.

 

The standard shade of Rosso Corsa from 1983 to mid 1987 for 3x8s; then superseded by 300/9 (which was already used on the 288 GTO in 1984)

I have several waranty book and looking for THE car of each. It's a very long research without any result guarantee. There is old thread " reuniting car with book" or Something like that in general section but with no post since a while.

Really? I thought Fer 300 was for 308s, and 300/6 (more orange) was for 328s, and then 300/9 was more orange again? Whoops, I may have touched up my stone chips in the wrong colour!

No, the change of shade was not tied to the appearance of a new variant of the car on the production line (That would have been to simple...nothing is that simple with Ferrari).
300 was used until 1983, then it was superseded by 300/6, which was used on QVs and also on the first 328s, built from september 1985 on, and this until mid-1987, when the 328s received 300/9 until the end of 328 production. Then the color was agin superseded by 300/12 during 348 production.
(It means that you have QVs in 300 and 300/6; and 328s in 300/6 and 300/9; you have to check the paint label, especially if the production date of a car is at about the month of change of color's shade; or have the color analysed by spectrograph)
(300/9 was introduced in 1984 for the 288 GTOs, before it was extended to 328s from mid-1987)
From 300 to 300/6, then to 300/9, then to 300/12, each time the color changed slightly by becoming more intense and slightly more orange.

So...after reading your post, I couldn't believe it was 32 years ago that I bought this record brand new (and not that easy to find at the time, Hank Williams' Jr records in Paris...).

Digging up this thread from years ago but that VIN # ZFFUA13A2E0052263 matches up with a 308 just listed on Bring A Trailer VIN # ZFFUA13A2E0052263 located in Connecticut today. Quite a ways from the UK and it appears to have always lived in the New England region of the US.

The seller's 308 GTS QV today sports the color of Pugra not Rosso Corsa (300/6) cited in the warranty booklet, however the listing cites "The exterior on this example was refinished in Prugna during prior ownership." Interesting if it went from red to plum color.
