Anyone own a CLK63 Black series, considering one and want opinions

I do not own one, but I really do like it!

 

I just had my Black Series delivered about 3 weeks ago. The car is amazing!!! It is scary fast and handles beyond belief. It is a bit on the large side, but does not feel that way. I have owned multiple Lambos and Ferraris and I think this will be my favorite thus far. My Dad came for Christmas and on Christmas day after all the presents were opened we ducked out and he took the Black Series and I took the 355. We went out driving in the country and had a blast. He just got an M6. He felt that there is no comparison - the Mercedes was a far superior performance car. I cannot say enough about this car.

I've got no opinions on its performance, but I will state that, for better or worse, no one notices them on the road. I've had several sightings of the Black Series on the road and each time, everyone else has been completely oblivious. I notice you own a Gallardo - the effect will probably be the exact opposite.

 

It's simply a fantastic looking car! Based on the all the articles I've read, I don't believe you'd be disappointed.

I picked up mine last Saturday (Silver). Other than some local driving, i really havent had the opportunity to push it and probably won't too hard during the initial break in period. but it drives great around town. Unfortunately had to give up my 97 maranello, but after 6 years and 30,000 trouble free and enjoyable miles i thought it was time to move on. I would like to find a good street tire replacement for the stock P-corsas though since i want to use it as a daily driver and I am worried the r-compound track tires are not going to hold up well. Tire rack only shows Yokohama Advans in that size though.

 

+1 here. I chased one weaving out of traffic the first time I saw one on the road. My GF knew I was chasing a car and when we got close, she asked what car. The CLK Black was right in front of us!! She not the biggest car buff, but she said it looked kinda like a "rice rocket" - kinda like a normal CLK with a body kit...at least thats what it looks like to the normal public.

I kinda laughed and didnt bother to tell her the background to that car, and its worth probably twice then any of her favorite cars. I just told her it was badass, and thats it.
