I'm in charge of putting together an historical display of cars that have held the transcontinental, or "Cannonball" record, that will be held in Minerva, Ohio on September 14th.

Jack May and Rick Cline set the record during the 1975 Cannonball Run race with a time of 35 hours and 54 minutes, in a white Dino 246.
Jack himself is unable to attend this event with his car, so we're looking for a similar one (strong preference for white!) to represent that record in the lineup.

Please contact me if you're interested! Your vehicle will be featured in, well, a lot of things, including a possible documentary shoot that's happening that weekend, plus you'll get the opportunity to meet many OG Cannonballers and be in a lineup with cars that have held the record from 1903 to the present.

35hrs 53 minutes, not 54. Sorry about that.
35:54 was the Daytona in 1971.

Any color Dino would be acceptable, we're still looking to fill this hole.

There's a white one in Washington State. I'll try to track it down, but that's a LONG way to Ohio.

It is a long way, although the Yates/Gurney Cannonball Daytona is also coming from WA.

My quickest driving across US (LA to Baltimore) was around 55 hrs (including food, fuel and rest stops), but that was almost 40 years ago when speed limit was still 55 MPH and I did it by myself in a 26 year old car I had bought on a happenstance for $200.- a week earlier.
