anyone own an E500(94ish, the Porsche one)

W124's are great cars in general. The cars MBZ rolls out nowadays is total crap compared to W124's. I'm not just talking out of my ass; my brother was an assistant shop foreman for a MBZ stealership. I've bought all but one car since my brother started working for them. Picked up a '95 E320 with 170k, sold it a couple months later for $4k more than what I paid and now I have a '94 E320 with 105k on the clock. After I sold the '95, a '95 E500 was traded in. It had 60k miles, CLEAN, my brother did a pre-purchase inspection on it, but the deal went sour. I was second on line to buy it (behind the shop foreman), but the sales department pissed him (shop foreman) off. They agreed to $15.5k out the door for it, but raised it twice before the shop foreman told them to F-off. The car ended up going to the auction, but I still think back nd regret not buying it. It would have been ~$19k out the door. I took it out on two occasions WOW. Like mentioned before, there is a significant difference between it and a regular E320 model. If you have the oppertunity to buy one that's cherry; take it. There's a low supply of them out there. Good luck!
