Ok, I bought some Maya wheels for my 2002 murci. I went to put the rears on and they would not fit flush on the rim. It is because where the lug bolts screw to the rotor there are 3 small bolts here. The stock speedlines have cutouts to go around these 3 bolts. The Maya wheels do not.

I called a dealer and they said they remove the bolts on every car they put stock wheels. Does this sound right? They said the bolts hold the calipers and things in place during factory assembly and they can be removed.

This is correct, the small (8mm?) bolts attach the rotor to the hub and keep the holes in the rotor and hub properly aligned until the wheel is fitted. Once you get the wheel bolted up they have no purpose.

I'm not sure why the dealer would remove them with stock wheels.
