Thinking of moving to Ft. Myers / Naples, wondering what the local scene is like there?

I moved to S. Florida 2 years ago and have been disappointed with the racing scene here, at least for the cars that I race. I race the 355C with CCR and the season finale at Homestead will be the 3rd event in FL this year, so that has been great. But in my Porsche the usual suspects like NASA and PBOC really do not bring strong competition out on a regular basis. The same would be true of a Challenge car.

One exception, the HSR event at Sebring in December is a blast. Car classifications can be wide so competitive racing is not a given but the event is bunch of fun both on and off the track. And the PBOC Winterfest event in January is spectacular, including a 6 hr enduro.

There is a new series starting next month, first event is at Daytona: SUPER ATCS - SUPER ATCS But I do not see Sebring on the schedule, only Homestead and PBIR. Will give them a try though.

If you are just a DE guy, there is lots of opportunity for track time at all the FL tracks as many competing DE groups put on events.
