I was at the dealer today with my friend and he received a package containing a Certificate of Authenticity from the Classiche Department for his 599 GTO. I found it odd since I thought the Classiche division was specifically focused on the restoration of older F-cars. I've seen the Classiche paperwork done for an F40 but it was pretty neat seeing the book they put together for the GTO. It's filled with pictures from the assembly line and other cool stuff. I, along with the car's owner, was curious if any other GTO owners had received their's as well. I'll have some pictures of the book tomorrow.

I haven't received anything yet, but I just picked up my GTO last Friday.

it is my understanding that the GTO owners who were the first to receive their cars (Europe) have already received their copies. All of us in the US should be receiving ours over the next couple of months. The idea that the factory has decided that all GTO's are worthy of provenence. Tells me that Ferrari is serious about the GTO. As well as the fact that to my knowledge no other Ferrari model is being provided with Certs. of Authenticity from the Classiche Dept. The idea that the factory believes that additional records down the road may be necessary. When needing to confirm the build spec's of each car at some future date makes a lot of sense. These additional records will be a huge plus for both the factory and the GTO owners down the road keeping confusion over the individual build spec's for each GTO to a minimum.

Spot on PJ. I received my copy back in October 2010 and it looks great. Shows again that the GTO is special in every aspect ;) It is a great document they put together. It is very detailed and looks simply great.

Can't wait to see mine...but if you just received yours in Oct from an April production date, seems I may have a few months to go :)

My friends car was not the first car delivered to the dealer (Beverly Hills) but his Classiche book was the first to arrive. His car was delivered in November and it was the 3rd one delivered to the dealer. I forgot to grab some pictures last time I saw it but if anyone else would like to post pictures of theirs that would be much appreciated :)
