A long time ago...~1994...I met an older white-haired mechanic in his shop in Walnut Creek. I was just wondering who that was (and if he's still working/around). I recall him as having a european accent of some sort and his wife worked there/was there.

I was driving home late one night going north on N Main, I think it was before Ygnacio Valley Rd. His roll-up door was open and I caught a Testarossa on a lift out of the corner of my right eye. I pulled in, walked into the shop and asked if I could watch. This guy let a 21 year old me talk his head off (why are you taking the engine out? How old is the owner? What does he do? HOW DO YOU GET ONE OF THESE??? I remember him hearing the pain and desire in my voice when I said that and he said, "Yeeaaa..that's just something you have to go through."

Anyway, he was very nice to me that night. I moved away from the easy bay shortly and never stopped in again. Anyone think they know who that was?

My wild guess...Jarl Deboer? We're there some odd/cool small Italian (Siata) cars lingering around in his shop? His shop was just off main, 2nd or 3rd Ave. I think?

Maybe Prestige Autohaus? Can't remember the mechanics name, I believe Rifledriver can remember his name.
