I'd tell you my DISASTER Story about a kid doing a detailing. But it's just easier to read it here. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=134871980#post134871980

Moral of the story? Make sure you get insurance coverage for yourself and any helpers you may have.

The kid who smacked my Dino got off with a bad scare. Police told me I had to have him arrested if I wanted to claim he'd been in a accident in my car without my permission. Insurance co told me the same thing.

so... Call the guy who does your home insurance and get a general liability policy.

OH, and great to see you out there doing a job, and good luck with your future.

Great story. Good luck. I admire your drive. Listen to Dave though and run your business with professionalism always. GET LOTS OF INSURANCE. Dropping a buffer on the hood of an Enzo can put your Mom and Dad in quite a pickle since they are actually responsible for you until 18. Also figure carefully how to pay the correct taxes because it can haunt you later. I don't mean to sound discouraging in any way. Best of Luck. Bob

AHHH!!!! I would be SOOOOOOOO bad! I am in aww of such cars, which is both a blessing and a curse. When im working on a car like that, 95% of all my concentration is on that car. I have an eye on it wherever i am. This distracts me however it makes me nervous when pulling the car into the garage, polishing, anything really. A healthy respect for the car makes for good protection, i have found. But i play bumper cars with the honda civics i work on :p :D

    Thanks hunter!

    Thank ya!

Question; does your Screen name have to do with Dodge neons? Would you happen to race one? My father did for years in SCCA SSC. We knew there was one in maryland, would this happen to be you?

Nope, not me, but I know they are fast little cars around the track, and can move out!

I decided on the name because I'm in the lighting industry.

Keep up the great work ethic, that will take you far in life. Use this as a launching pad for your future. Do you see yourself doing this for the next 50 years? Use what you learn now, build contacts and keep up the strong work habit. That will take you far in life.

they used to be competitive but then the Civics came out and now the mazda 3's... SSC is getting so screwed up. But so is everything else i hear.

No. He hasnt autox'd in years. He actually won the 1st BMW club of America's autoX in a 2002. He was very good however moved to the track about 20 years ago.

Thanks! I love what I do, thats why im good at it.

I picture myself doing something in the car world. I have retail in my blood. Who knows, I may even go to work for a Ferrari Dealer selling cars and then detail on the side. I plan to retire relatively young with some investments that I have made recently along with some that were made for me before I was born so i would want a fun job... I think working with Ferrari's could be very fun!... hell i know it is, i do it.
