If anyone speaks German, I would really appreciate if you could translate the following two sentances. I am in an advertising class, and found an ad for BMW, however it is in German. I thought it would be cool to keep the german add, but I need to know what it says!

"Sie glauben, ihn zu berühren. Aber es ist umgekehrt.......Bauchkribbein beginnt in den augen."

    Help would be greatly appreaciated.

    Thanks!

It is in the 'creative' section and is the first link under the picture (Jung von Matt/Alster:BMW Z4 Launch Campaign Print)

Mhmmm, strange to translate it without losing the context.

    lets try......

"You think/believe to touch her, but its conversely/reverse......ventraltickling
    starts in the eyes."

Pffff, don`t know, but hope you got the sence?!

    Fantastic :D

You can't really translate it directly..."You believe you are touching it, but its the other way around...butterflies(tickling) in the stomach begin with the eyes."

We'd need to see the context like Wolfgang said.

    Cheers
    Simon

    I think it means:

You feel like you're touching the car, but it's just the butterflies/tickling in your stomach, caused by looking at the car with your eyes.

Basically like visualising the feeling of the car in your mind just by looking at it?

Remember, it's actually two separate full-page advertisements.

For the first ad, it's as as simon says, "You believe you are touching it, but it's the other way around" The ad implies that your subconscious will be affected by this car. The car is actually "touching" you through your subconsious being and desires.

The other print ad suggests that upon gazing at the Z4, you'll have butterfilies in your stomach/excited nervousness. In other words, your eyes see it first, and then your body reacts with excitement

    ...or some thing like that.

    Wow!

This thread makes me happy that I also drive a BMW! Every morning when I look at my BMW I think:" @#$%, it is still very early! I have not encountered the butterflies yet!

    :)

I think that they mean to say:

You think that you touch the car, but it is the other way around. The car touches you (when you look at it).

If I was the Ad guy I would pick Ton's description. It makes the most sense.

    My own take is;
"You want to touch it but the sensations you feel start with the vision you see."

That makes sense too. I had just thought it was two completely separate print ads that wouldn't have necessarily appeared together. Just seemed that way when I looked at the ads themselves.

There aren't too may BMWs that I've really wanted, but the Z4 is one of them. I like the swoopy design. It reminds me a lot of the 507.
