Hey Darron- It would be fun but...You would always worry about your car and besides the salty air would not do it any good.

The salty air won't hurt the car on short term trips to the beach. My car lived most of its life yards away from the bay for the better part of its life with little corrosion.

IMO, just make sure you have a nice coat of wax and increase your detailing and you should be ok.

I have been tooling around O.C. for years in my 308QV. I take it down on weekends when I dont fly down. I like my car, but I dont obsess over where to park it. If it gets a ding, I will fix it or live with it. Remember, its a CAR.
Drive the crap out of it and give it a good bath when you are done. I park at Secrets or on the streets in downtown OC. Its fun to watch families pose beside it and take pictures. That reminds me, how does an 11 year old know what it is when it was built 9 years before he was born? Impressive kids are!

We go down to OC every year the weekend before Memorial Day for the muscle cars but other than that don't do it! OC is a dump in the summer. When we go down for the car cruise we normally take the bus since there is sooo much traffic and that way you can drink and not worry.

oc nj, or oc md ? either way your wrong, they are both beautiful places !! if you think they are a dump when your here, thats because the shoobies like yourself, but not meaning you in particular screw it up in the summer, clog up our streets park where your not supposed to, basically trash the place, then its up to us locals to clean the mess up. SHOOBIE= TOURIST. theres a real nice place you might want to try vacationing this year, its water front and much to do, camden nj, its gerrrrrreat there. check it out this year.
ps. alot of tourists are in fact very curtious, but there are exceptions.....

Hey john lamour my comments came out wrong. I mean the place is a dump because of the tourists, overcrowding, lack of parking, etc. I can't stand tourists even when I am one myself. My comments were about MD and not NJ where you are at. I love Stone Harbor and Avalon but only in the off season when all the "shoobs" are gone and there are no waits for dinner, ample parking, etc.

I haven't been down there in over 15 years......... back then OC in the summer was getting out of control with traffic. I can't imagine it know. I remember my parents buying a place on the water bayside in the 70's. It was nothing but dunes on their street and an old ferry had been moved into the bay to turn into a resturant. Well over the years all the land was converted into homes / townhomes / condos and the ferry was removed. We all grew tired of the crowds and sold the place. Before that though, I had a great time during my high school / college years. I was a windsurfing instructor and had '72 Bronco that was lifted. Perfect for the beach......

Maybe it's time to check it out again.
