Well, it's time I think to trade the Maser, and it won't be for another Maser. Anyone had dealerships of other brands turn up their noses? I'm wondering what kind of storm I'm about to run into.
You are excommunicated forthwith, please leave your Tridents at reception. . . . . . . . . . . . .;-) MS
What would he trade for in the current Maserati lineup? I don't think early spiders are all that beloved as used cars though you seemed to love yours.
I traded my 10 GT convertible for a 13 Merc SL550 for my wife. She wouldn't drive the GT so got her the MB. They did a great deal and put the GT in the showroom and was gone in a week.
Forgive me for being naive but I'm wondering what this thread is asking. Is it a question as to the comparison between oem dealerships from a quality / servicing standpoint or does it have something to do with a possible dealerships disdain have for one another or are the Maser vehicle(s) in question from a quality standpoint? OTOH I AM soon looking to leave Audi & MB for a Maser so I am curious from the other point of view I guess...
Well, I want to trade my car for another kind of car and I'm wondering if anyone got a hassle of any other dealers saying they won't take it or give me some ridiculous low ball (which I know they will but I'm trying to figure out where I draw the line). It's pretty simple. Don't overthink it. I'd trade it for a new Ghibili but it's total overkill for the person it's going to. It's a Christmas gift. It has to be a 4 door that's safe, dependable, not that terribly expensive, good gas mileage without being a hybrid, and not too fast. I'm not against the brand. It's more the proper fit for the driver. My Maser has to go one way or the other in a month and this seems like the best way.
Gotcha Mayor,,, Ok can't say I qualify to answer your orig ques, but ... Don't all dealers generally take a trade in, not necessarily for their own pre-owned business, but for wholesaling too. I would think that is your low trade in number is nada book, not lower than that(?). Yes perhaps from that value each dealer would/could ante up more money depending on how they viewed the potential sale of you car. (which I guess is what you are asking) I am considering the Ghibili Q4 over the MB E or Audi 7 lines. Yes you could probably get an similar/equivalent MB or Audi for less than the Maser. Al
Yes, that's my feeling what should happen. It should go to a Wholesale reseller. I'm just trying to see if anyone had a different circumstance and what BS they were given, if any.
