Pictures would be great! Thank you all! Like this one : on the 599, crunching the offset numbers and tire sizing help would be great. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I know the bolt patter works... but not sure of all the rest. BTW - Rims = Wheels.... hate the word "rims" in the Ferrari world.
The grey line in the excel is the variant with spacers i had on my 599 GTB and it looks like the photo Remember that i had 255 and 315 tires instead of 245 and 305 Image Unavailable, Please Login
So the grey line with 80,1 mm front and 100,9 mm rear from hub to outside rim, is near the maximum you can go without rubbing. Car was lowered with standard springs. The 599 GTO wheels were possible with 22 mm spacers rear, no spacers front, also without rubbing They had 82,55 mm front and 104,25 mm rear from hub to outside rim 812 twisted forged wheels have (without spacers) 78,6 mm front and 88,75 mm rear from hub to outside rim So you could go with about 15mm spacers at the rear to get them outside to the limit. Daniel
GTO tires are 285/30 front and 315/35 rear 812 sizes are 275/35 rear and 315/35 rear The front could be critical, because the 285/30 GTO setup or the 255/35 is near max diameter with these offsets. 275/35 is larger
I meant : The grey line (line 9) is the data the wheel has from hub to rim flange. You can compare the various datas from the various wheels. Remember, you can compare line 7 only, these datas are without any spacers.
Here are the wheel specs on the 812 and 599. Look like a pretty good match, like Daniel said. Make a simple drawing on a piece of paper and the offset starts from the wheel centerline. 812 Superfast/812 GTS/Competitizione Five/Ten Spoke 20”, 5 X 114.3 mm Front 10J X 20 ET 48.4 mm, Rear 11.5J X 20 ET 57.3 mm 599/HGTE/SA Aperta Five Spoke F 19”, R 20”, 5 X 114.3 mm Front 8J X 19 ET 43.5 mm, Rear 11J X 20 ET 63.8 mm Challenge Monolithic 20”, 5 X 114.3 mm Front 8J X 20 ET 43.5 mm, Rear 11J X 20 ET 63.8 mm HGTE/SA Aperta Five Spoke 20”, 5 X 114.3 mm Front 8.5J X 20 ET 40 mm, Rear 11J X 20 ET 63.8 mm
Taz provided me with this info in another thread. I had always found the topic of wheel offset to be a bit confusing. I thought this graphic might facilitate this discussion. Thanks again, Taz!
The weight of the twisted forged 812 wheels is about the level of the GTO wheels from AppTech. The twisted 812 are manufactured by Super alloy Taiwan. Daniel Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanking all!! I know I can count on all u old pals. So no one done them yet?? Hmmmm… I’ll be the first. Hahahaha. Thanks to all again!
Just checked this post, I asked Taz couple of months ago about it and he confirmed it will fit. I had a friend who wanted to sell the twisted 812 rims and I went for it. It’s fixed on my car. But for your information there is a picture on instagram of a 599 with 812 rims next to 599 gto and some other pictures special project based on 599 with the 812 rims, which means they had these rims before releasing the 812. It’s lighter than the gto by 8 or 12 kg am not sure because I was checking the weight of couple of rims mixed up with the numbers. I felt the difference in driving and switching gears, its smoother and lighter. good luck it will look beautiful and refreshed.
I wish I had not seen this picture .... because Now I WANT those wheels on my car!!!! It really updates the 599... looks fantastic.
Thanks a lot ! I agree, when I fixed it the garage guy told me it’s like a Botox refreshed the car But I still think the GTO wheels looks more sportier, I went for it because it seems the quality is much better than the gto. Let’s not forget GTO wheels are old and technology updated the products.
Wow! Looks great! But I’m surprised the fronts fit on urs because when I test fitted mine the inner part of the wheel will touch the inner wheel well things on full lock so I’m waiting on my 1.5cm spacers for the front. And may I ask what tire size u have in the front? I’m thinking about going 265/30/20 because the 812 front wheel 10” width is a little too much for the 245/35s stock ones. I’m going to post a 812 rims don’t fit a 599 thread soon
