I forgot, there is one other issue with the bed; since the mattress weighs much less than conventional mattresses, during "passionate" sessions the mattress has a tendency to move much more than a conventional one, so you may have to stop and put the mattress back on the bed...

"But it's only $195!", as per the sales guy.

After all of the problems I've had with new appliances during the past 4 years I'm not about to invest in a mattress that has electronics and mechanical/moving parts. I so tired of their "customer service" as well and can imagine that Sleep Number's will be a nightmare.

BTW, their warranty is really only for two years, not the 20 that the sales pitch would lead you to believe.

To those with the positive experiences, congratulations! Me? I gave up gambling long ago ;)

I had that problem once during a very passionate evening with my then GF while out camping in Antarctica in 2000. But instead of trying to fix the issue, we got the hell out of Dodge and fortunately they have not pined it on my yet....

We have had our SC for many many years. We would not trade it for anything. We both have entirly different settings. I like the fact that I can adjust it according to what I have been doing, if I've been bending over the fender working on the engine, I can adjust the bed up higher and will not experience back pain in the morning. Sometimes, I like to soften it and curl up in a ball. It did take some experimenting to finally find the correct number for me. I started out at 35, but after a couple of years I found that 55 worked better. It is all about being able to adjust it, and not settling for one firmness for the both of us!

Also, we change our bedroom around each season, and the SC is sooo much easier to move.
