I was wondering if anyone would be interested in bringing their Ferrari into a Parade on Sunday May 15th.,2005 in Lombard,Il. This is their annual "Lilac Day Parade" that they've held for Many, many years. It is in May,so it should still be somewhat cool temperatures. The Cars should be fine. No overheating. (I know that after going through the Morton Arboretum last fall,in low 80 or High 70 degree temps did not affect my car at all. And,that was Very Slow moving driving....) And,I'll even buy you a bottle of "Water Wetter" that you add to your Coolant, and it will keep your Coolant 10 Degrees cooler,if you want. They use it alot in Corvettes, and Race Cars. I used to use it in the 1981 HotRod 'Vette that I had,and it kept it cool.

And,they usually have a couple other car clubs, some that have had really Old cars, and I have never seen any car,of any kind,in the 15 years that I've attended this parade, ever overheat. (Including "Dragula"...:) )

But,they give out Awards...either Trophies or Plaques for the Car Clubs. And,I believe they give them out for 1st.,2nd.,and 3rd. But,last year, for some reason, there was only one or two Car clubs that attended. So,an award would've been a shoe in. Probably this Year, too. And,we know how people go "GaGa" over Ferrari's when they see them. I think we'd be a hit,for sure.

Anyway. This is "Ferrari's Only",this time. And,only "Older Ferrari Cars" that either ARE 25 years old,or more. Or,have a DESIGN that is 25 years old or more. So,308,328,Daytona's and Boxers would qualify. And,ofcourse, any other Older Ferrari or Replica of one....

Also, this would be a great opportunity to get out the F.O.C.,as,we could put our Banners on the Cars, too. But,you don't have to be an F.O.C. Member to participate in this one. But,the Car Must be a Ferrari. (Or Replica of an older one)

So,if anyone wants to,let me know. I would need to enter us pretty soon. Something to think about....It is not very long, and will not take more than a few Hours, between Staging, and driving through. But,I really think that we'd be a hit. And,it would be fun, someting different to do. Not to mention, free publicity....Then,we can go somewhere and eat,(on me.)

    Frank,

You should trade your 308 for the Dragula and Bondo Fiero. Tow them both to FCA and FOC events in the Weiner-mobile. You're their biggest fan... or just get a TR and make all of us jealous.

How cruel, you just excluded Bondo-Fierrari!

Seriously, I'd be in depending on when it starts. I'm returning Sunday from a trip, so it all depends on when the Lombard parade starts.

    Frank-

    I don't do parades anymore.

Last one I did, I was mobbed. Everyone thought I was either George Carlin, or Tom Selleck; I can't remember which.

Yea, that's it, I just remembered that everyone thought I was Tom Selleck!!!

Frank, count me in. My chance to get up close to Dragula. Heck we can even do a reenactment of that Ferrari vs Dragula scene from the "Munster go home" movie.

Let's find a couple more Ferraris to participate. I'll add it to the FOC calendar.

PS: Haley, welcome to the board!

Just in: Dave joins with the 308.

So we got now three Ferraris and a Lambo (?). That should cover "Made in Italy" just nicely.
