I have the GAREDCARS conversion and am looking for someone that would swap for the kit. I would need a good OEM factory 348 replacement with lights for straight trade. Or if someone knows where to pick up the stock pieces, I would be interested buying them and selling the kit outright.

Ernie I'm more interested in maybe buying the kit and keeping my stock stuff. I know that Joe really wants to make a trade with someone's stock setup. If you want to trade your lights and grill, then by all means move to the front of the line and I will step aside!

Thanks Brent that was very nice of you.

The reason I was looking at getting the lights is because my stock lights are melted. Sorry Joe, I wasn't aware that you wanted to go back to the stock settup. I would have traded but my lights are really bad. I was missing the rear heat shield for quite a while and as a result everthing got melted big time. I threw away the black covers for the back of the lights because they were melted so bad. The heat those two can mufflers put out is something else.

i would love to borrow , or rent the piece from you , as i have been meaning to tool up a mold for this. it would have absolutely no damage to the original part . if anyone gets this , i could make many more folks happy if i got my hands on it for a week . ill pay shipping both ways too.

I would be willing to swap for the originals, I don't think with my car it will matter, as far as it being original or not. I would be willing to pull the stuff out and send it to you for your approval, than if you like it you can send me yours.

I would want to look over what I had real good and send you some photo's first. Let me know, I always liked that kit you have. By the way, do you think that rear grill can be shipped economically? I had a fiberglass front shipped in bubble wrap, but that is alot hardier. How would you ship a flimsy grill, and keep it nice?

I would think the rear grill would not have anywhere the demand as the front, am I wrong?

OK 348_P_C, I am interested. Take some shots and email them to me. As long as the OEM looks good and no melting, I am good to go! I'm sort of finicky about my 348... ;) It is a straight plug and play for both of us... Let me know how you wish to proceed! "Embrace the grates, mates!"

Okay, I will take some pic's I will pm U also. I have a hunch that this car was a rear hit prior to the condition it is in now. If my memory serves me correctly, these parts are in great shape and are alot younger than the rest of the car.
I guess the biggest concern for me is, can this rear grill be shipped? Isn't your car one of those Speciale? Mine turned out not to be, but came with two rear grills, original and one that looks altered (Speciale look I guess) by Elmo.

Oops, your someone else, I thought your car was the profile, ingeles. Which has a red 348 Speciale, We have the same car. I will probably mail my stuff out first after you see some pic's, as my car isn't going anywhere for quite some time. No hurry to put it back together.

Perfect! Waiting on pics... Shipping will be no issue, they will arrive in good shape if a little thought and effort is put into packaging.

No seriously, if I developed a panel like that and you copied it I would sue your a55 off. I had enough hassle when I designed things for TVRs with companies copying my products that I have no hesitation these days.

    Okay,
I went and wiped off some of the parts last weekend, they look pretty good. I will take some pic's next weekend for you. There are a few things I saw that I am not sure what i am looking at. Does Italian plastic leave a little to be desired?
I also want to understand why there is a wire screen between the rear taillights, I suspect from all the heat. My only concern is were will that heat go and effect once I put that kevlar panel across the back. I am going to investigate that a little more.
