Not sure if anyone has posted this but Hovey Motor Cars here in San Antonio has a Street Legal Indy Car for sale in their lot. Kinda looks a little goofy compared to other street legal indy cars I've seen. Anyway, They're asking 39K if anyone wants a little toy to play around with in the summer. Anyone know the Specs of this thing? Sounds like it would be an Ariel Atom part 2.

Those guys seem pretty pricey on their cars atleast the ones that are not a two seater indy car.

Yeah and I've heard bad things about them and Gonzaba.

Well, I checked out the specs on this thing:

Engine Chrysler V6 iron block aluminum heads
    Displacement 3.5 liters
    Induction Fuel injection
    Maximum Horsepower 253 HP. (Stock H.O. 99-02)
    Transmission Factory automatic
Suspension, Front Independent un-equal length upper and lower a-arms
Suspension, Rear Tri-link with cv axle
Shocks and Springs 4 corner aluminum coil-over with ride height adjustment
    Steering Rack and pinion cherco
Brakes, Front GM metric calipers GM 12" disc
Brakes, Rear GM metric calipers GM 12" disc
    Wheels 15" X 10" suggested with 4" back spacing
    Tires P235/50R-15 suggested
    Height 42"
    Weight 1960 lbs.
    0-60 Time 4.8 seconds
Quarter Mile Time 12.9 seconds at 113 MPH
Stop Distance 70-0 mph, 185 feet
    Top Speed 152 mph

I think for $8,000 more you can get an Ariel Atom which is a far more appealing.

eh... a bit overpriced for that car. Why is there "supertrap" mufflers on there? Tacky.... Throw some 12" glass packs on that beeeiotch and hear it sound like a race car on the top end. I would rather have a nice 308 or 328 for that price.

he he he..... it's a bad assed little car, thats what it is. GOOGLE it.

How is this street legal? I sure wouldn't want to be riding in that right next to Ford F350's and Hummer H2's.
