    Hello everyone!

I am a college student that lurks around here a lot and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in purchasing some very high quality cutlery. I am sure a lot of people have heard of this, it is called Cutco. It has been around for a long time and is sold exclusively by college students at personal home demonstrations. This keeps the price competitive with Henckels, because it eliminates wholesalers, retailers, and advertising costs. Anyways it is definitely high quality stuff and everyone that I have showed it too so far has been very impressed. It is priced a little bit better than Henckels, but is way better in quality and performance, so if you are impressed with Henckels you will be blown away by Cutco. Seriously. I am just kind of getting started with this and want to do as many sales as possible. I realize I am not following the system of personal home demonstrations, but trust me it is great stuff and when you get it you have 3 weeks to try it out and decide whether you like it or not. If for some crazy reason you don't like it, you can send it back for 100% refund. You can't buy it in stores or on websites, just from people like me.

So if you are interested take a look: www.cutco.com check out the products; we like to sell Kitchen Sets so be sure to check those out.

PM or email: [email protected] if you see anything you like or if I can answer any questions.

And hopefully this didn't violate any forum rules. I already saw this thread and kind of got the idea from it: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5229&highlight=cutco

HA! I sold Cutco back in 1988. You make $$$ off friends & family but thats where it stops. My first week I had the "thousand dollar day." I still have & use my complete set. BTW, are they still under sold under the name ALCAST MARKETING in Olean, NY? Good luck.

I also sold Cutco 3 summers ago, and made a fair amount with relatives and friends. Once you get 3 circles deep into your referrals it gets pretty rough to get appointments, especially during summer time. I had two "grand days" and made it to the $10k level within the summer, but forget what that is formally called.

It's called bothering your friends and family. :) It doesn't matter what you sell, your 1st ones are always tried out on the people closest to you! "Hey grandma, do you need a new cordless phone that cleans the oven and warms your bath?!"

Thanks Solipsist. Cutco and Vector are subsidaries of ALCAS I believe. Vector Marketing handles all of the training and sales programs. Cutco is the manufacturing brand and it is all made in Olean, NY.

Global is good stuff. It is made in Japan and is very sharp. How often do you have to sharpen it though? It doesn't have the superb Double-D edge that stays sharp for 10 years or nearly as good of a handle. Bottom Line: A lot of Global owners buy Cutco. If you are interested in trying it out, risk free, please let me know. BTW, I am not trying to start anything here, I am just telling you what I know ;)

Thanks Hubert. I was hoping at least someone would have something nice to say...jk. The whole referral friends/family does kind of have a bad reputation and doesn't work for a lot of people, but plenty of people have been extremely successful with it so I think it does work even outside of your inner circle of friends and family :)

Hey, I'm still happy with mine. Cutco makes a great product. I can even still cut pennies into wine bottle openers with my scissors.

Ok a guy came and did the demonstration with my father one day and I just happened to be home. part of the demo is he pulls out a piece of rope and askes to see the sharpest knife in the house. So dad winks at me and I go to a box we have on the mantle. Thsi box contains my great great Grand fathers instruments from the civil war. I pull out an ivory handle schaple and even at 155 years old, it kicks that cutco things ass!!!! (We still bought two knives, though.)
