No, I'm not talking about Jim's Jag or Jim's 7 series or even Jim's G-class I'm sitting here in Seattle (neat place, BTW) and happened to pick up a Truck Trend last night. There's a story there about a company in Sherman that lets people drive around in their WW2 era tanks. You can't crush cars (darn) but do get to run around the countryside. If people are interested, I can make a call or two and see what kind of prices they have.
Tanks are cool, I drove 4 different tracks today. Very much like a video game without the blowing up and running over anything you want part. gil Happy holidays
How's Seattle? I used to live in Seattle, Tacoma, & Federal Way for about 10 years. I remember the town used to the most desirable city to live in the USA in 80's. From what I hear from friends/relatives in Seattle area, it has changed a lot since '89. Did you contact any F-chat member there?
I'm in. I will advertise in the newspaper for a Ferrari Replicar Party to be held in Sherman. Let me know the date so we can thrash some trash. EDIT d'oh! just reread T's post. no crushing cars? well, okay, but can we race them side by side? If so, SpeedZone's got nothing on these guys.
Seattle (what little I see, here in downtown) is a lot like San Francisco expect that the weather sucks. Rain, rain and more rain. It did clear up this afternoon and so I spent some time walking around the waterfront. It's pretty when it's sunny, but I understand that it's only sunny for 3 weeks in August I didn't have any non-work time except for those few hours, and now I'm gone again, so I didn't contact any Fchat guys. Maybe next time.
Tillman, SF has been pouring rain. So you are not missing much. I am surprised you are on F chat, when you could be checking out the mamasitas as I said ealier in those places. Come on get out on first street and have some fun on our behalf!!
Ohh, how about dogfighting in real WWII era planes!?! Oops, never mind, after this last weekend there is one less plane and pilot.
http://www.incredible-adventures.com/texas-tanks.html Here are the details about the tank driving in Sherman.....
Thread splittish Well, I've been hauled around by the VP of whatever since I've been here. I'm finally back to the hotel. I considered going out, but as I'm not single it would ultimately be a waste of time Besides, Pleasantville is on (I'm such a geek......) Well, that's the price with hotel rooms, and a profit margin etc etc etc. I suspect we can work something cheaper
Is that TV show or something? I don't have a TV, so I am not up on the new stuff. WHo cares if you are not single. Did I say you have to touch them. Also, how far is your sig other? She wouldn't know anyways of a rendezvous you had. Be a real TX man, and step up, and squeeze some of those Seattle knockers for the rest of us Remember, a man is only as faithful as his options.
They had a story about this on Fox 4 yesterday morning. Seems as though they do it for $300 per person in groups if I am not mistaken. You might contact Fox 4 and get the link to the story. They let Megan, the morning newscaster drive it on the show.
I, however, would know. Just a differing philosophy. Anyway, back to the tanks. I'll make some calls this or next week
LOL! Yea, thats the Ateam Van! Did I see where sombody said Seattle is a "desirable" place to live???? Not to knock the Saettleans, but It sucked for me when I was there... When and How can you race? soo much rain...
