These historic movies are getting cheesier by the decade - I miss the original movie...

Can't they make a movie where the charcters look REAL???

For god's saek ( :) ), Moses's wife has a perm in the movie, perfect makeup, and looks like a supermodel. Moses looks like he took 10 minutes off his GC shoot, and his son looks like he should be in a Sears catalogue.

Come on, can't we get some ugly people in films like this??? Most people back then didn't bathe, had poor dentition, leprosy, scars, etc...

Hell, even the chariots in the movie looked like they were buffed and color sanded. The Egyptian statues looked like fiberglass...

    ARGH.

We need more realism in movies. Why did they remake this movie anyway??? The original was way better...

    Anyone else see it???

My wife got tired of my complaining about it every time they ran the commercial for it. Why bother remaking a classic that has aged so well? No way they could top the original.

It was almost unwatchable, the acting was bad, the script was bad and the directing was bad. The crowd scenes looked like the same 20 people over and over again. In the original there was thousands of extras. Even the special effects were sub par. Then again who can remake a classic like the original by Cecil B. DeMille. I don't think anyone can play Rameses like Yul Bryner, or Moses like Charlton Heston, even Edward G. Robinson was fantastic in the original. I don't think I'll tune in for part 2.
