http://www.thesecret.tv/home.html not bad but felt like these are compiled of books I have already read
I did see it and I encourage others to see it, too. Some people are too close minded to apprehend anything. I also liked What the Bleep Do We Know, despite the controversy regarding financing of the film, ulterior motives, etc. And you are right: it combines a lot of books that I have read, but it was presented very nicely. Do you know what they say about motivational books? Most people don't get past the first chapter, or worse. Cheers!
YES! I saw it a few months ago, a good girlfriend of mine from LA (big quantum physics fan) called me and insisted I watch it, one of the people in it is a friend of hers. IMO, I think a lot of it is too over the top, but I believe in the gist of it.
I have not seeing it but heard the whole thing in audio CD. Also so "What that bleep do we know?" If anybody is interested it is going to be on Oprah Thursday night. The concept of it is great however, they do presented with the over the top factor i think.
The concept makes sense, I burnt copies for friends. The problem is that most people won't incorporate these principles into their daily lives
My wife saw it and she said that they describe me in the movie. Not by name, but how I think and act as part of my natural state. It's interesting that other people can do this to, I just considered it a gift, like being able to draw or play music.
it's on google video - http://video.google.com.au/videoplay?docid=-1279084763732767570&q=the+secret in the end it's a big thing where they try to make you feel good about thinking nice thoughts and feeling nice feelings and noticing the synchronicity of events. it's good on one hand where as was mentioned it's really just a mash-up of stuff that's been around forever, but really crap on other aspects where it just comes across as embarassing metaphysical phooey, but if it gets some people thinking a bit more positive then it's decent enough. it must be noted that it's run by a bunch of people who've gotten rich selling self-help books to the kind of people who will just gush over this, and as with self-help books it's only as useful as the few good bits and pieces you can take away from it after you see through the hype.
