Last week an unplanned trip to the hospital gave me one. Hopefully life goes back to normal, accept that now I can't lean over (or get within two feet) of a running automotive ICE engine because of electrical death rays coming from the modern alternator. And I can't use my beard trimmer because that would put it within six inches of the device. And because my cell phone transmits at 11 watts, I have to keep that about 12 inches (3 watts would be save at 6 inches) and the list goes on. Wifi is not my friend if I get too close to the router or the printer or even my cordless home phone. Would love to hear how others are dealing with this.
I think a lot depends on the manufacture of the device. I have a Biotronik Edora 8 HF-T QP unit, and don't suffer from any of what you do. I originally had a 2 wire Biotronik unit installed, which was horrible, not exhibiting any symptoms of RF signals in the area, but every morning when getting out of bed, felt like I just drank 5 shots of Tequila, and would walk on ice the rest of the day. Seven months later, they yanked out the two wire, and installed a three wire unit. Feel much better now, it's been over 2 years now. I, being the one at work who does all the carburetor adjustments on Ferrari's and Lambo's, have a hard time doing that because of the RF being emitted from ignition wires on the cars, and also, keeping away at least 6 feet from a running microwave oven are a few of life's new short comings. Also, purchase a portable RF meter, walk around your house and office, observe the results, you'd be amazed as to some " Hot Spots' you should avoid. Gary Bobileff
Many thanks. Yes mine is a two wire Boston Scientific model. I'll play if by ear for now but will purchase a RF meter and do the sweep.
My grandpa is wearing one too it's been 4 years and it's still working fine. He is having a check-up every 6 months to make sure that everything is working fine.
