Are there anyone that went from aftermarket exhaust back to stock exhaust (360 Modena)? Can you please provide feedbacks.

I have the high flow cats and Timate Titanium exhaust installed in my 360, I am thinking about going back to the stock exhaust. This combination sounds amazing, but it is almost impossible to enjoy the car due to sound level. I always have to shift before 5k rpm because it gets massive loud near redline.

To best of my understand high flow cats provides most hp/tq gains while there is little to no gain from switching to aftermarket exhaust. is my assumption wrong? Thanks in advance.

the only gain you will probably get is in the low end torque. I wish mine is louder in the high rpm.

You guys should swap exhausts, then both of you would be happy.

Often, when too many components are changed to low back-pressure substitutes, an exhaust system will get too loud for some owners, but be loved by others. Exhausts are a compromise and a matter of taste.

Your exhaust may sound better to you with the high flow cats and stock exhaust, or OEM cats and aftermarket exhaust. The late model V12s are the same. Sometimes too little back-pressure can make for an exhaust you and your neighbors think is too loud.

I sold a Novitec system that was just too loud for me (more like too loud for the wife and neighbors), but the guy who bought it loved it. Both of us were happy.

That would be nice. I honestly did not felt any top end gain with Timate exhaust, but I did felt noticeable gain from the high flow cats.

I still would love to hear more feedbacks before deciding what to do.

had a tubi, ears ring after a 2 hour drive, its too much on a convertible. On a coupe, its fine.

(too loud for both spider and spyder!)

i had the same experience when i changed my stock cs exhaust to tubi ngt. no real diff. but when i changed the cats, the car was transformed. am now tempted to change the headers n switch back to stock cs exhaust to "moderate" the loudness-am i crazy or what
