ok guys, I have just got back the first template for the rear diffuser i made for the 360

It started out as a rear diffuser for the stradale being that it came right off of matt meridian's stradale so it was a oem part.

i got a hold of it and tried to fit it on my 360 but it would not work. The rear bumper on the stradale has ressesed parts so the diffuser sits flush against the under tray. The diffuser had small little tits raised up where the screws go into the holes.

I sanded them down and sanded the whole piece a little thinner so it was mor flexable. I also did some modifying to the shape and cuts here and there.

I fit it to my car perfect and it looks great all the ec guys can atest for me cauz they seen it in person.

So i decided to make the piece in carbon fiber I brought the peices to a friend and he tried to make them out of carbon fiber but do to the strakes being so thin it was very hard to make these pieces in a heavy production it took 3 days just to make this piece and cost $800 not counting the mold of course. Now the peice on the right is clear coated once the piece on the left was not clear coated at all. The one thing you dont see in the picture is air pockets in the carbon strakes at the top of the strakes so basicly its not worth the time and money to make these deffusers out of carbon it takes to much time and cost to much plus they will never look perfect.

So what i am going to do is make them like the OEM ones out of injection mold plastic. So anyone that wants a rear diffuser for there 360 and man up let me know and i will get you one for cheep cheep cheep.

the oem part is $2,600 Now keep in mind its not easy to get because its a stradale part the factory has put a lock on all limmited production ferraris so unless you got a vin# and a picture of the damaged pieces you are not going to get anywhere with them.

They do not make a diffuser for the 360 and i have created one so we can enjoy this aggresive look for our cars like i said ferrari sell these plastic defussers for $2,600 i am selling these to other places and they will be selling them for $1,600. my price is half that.

I think it looks hot. The car definetly has a more aggressive tone now - nicely done BrAd!

those are certainly a cost effective alternative to aftermarket. But have you done any testing to confirm their function? Track times or anything?

Somehow I doubt it will make a performance difference that is quantifiable. He would have to be able to run the exact same lap within a very close degree consistently, and then make the modification and see what happens.

I think it's an aesthetic mod that looks good and he's offering it for cheap. What more do you want?

Absolutely nothing. It looks like he has done a great job making custom parts, not something anyone can do.

    wow a reply????????

hahahaha thanks bobafett good to see you put the past behind us huh

i am glad you think they are good reproductions and yes you are right its not about if they are fully fuctionable on the track i made them because they look agressive and i love the stradale look only if it came in 6 speed.

anyway thanks for the complements and i lok foward to speaking with you again
hey by the way ever get that F40?

Let sleeping logs die, or is it something about letting dogs lie? ;)

I agree - CS with 6 speed would be the tits. Rumour has it that Ferrari offered a local collector the option of such a car and he refused. Dunno what the truth is to that, but it came from a reputable / respected source - so who knows?

But for us mere mortals, nope.

    F40 - not yet. But I pine.

i am sure there is downforce and it does distribute the air better when it leaves the back end of the car but how much down force i do not know nor does it really matter either.
Are you gonna tell me that i am going to beat you around a track faster because i have the diffuser on my car......

oh yeah i can jump higher to because i have air jordans on
