Anyone work for a student painting company while in college?

Anyone here manage a branch for a student painting company (Collegepro, collegiate entrepreneurs, collegeworks, etc.) while in college?

 

No, they're definitely not a scam, or at least Collegiate Entrepreneurs isn't. This is my second year with that company. First year, as a freshman in college, I built and ran my own painting company, generating $90,000 in revenue and employing 7 people: 6 painters, and 1 part-time marketer, and I personally made $22K. I have to admit, though, the job is tough and most college kids don't make, so the one's who quit / are fired may think of it as a scam. I did so well as a branch manager my first year I was promoted to my current position of District Executive, in which I recruit and manage my own team of Branch Managers. I have 15 managers, who each employ 3-4 people themselves, and my goal is to reach $550K in sales this summer.

The reason I posted this is that last week the company had an executive meeting with Mark Moses, who worked for a student painting company when he was in college and then went on to build a billion dollar company and now mostly consults for CEOs and entrepreneurs. He said that he speaks at a lot of big business events for CEOs, etc. and every time he speaks, he asks the crowd if there is anyone who worked for a student painting company while in college. He claims that "everytime there are at least 5-8 people who raise their hand." I just wanted to check to see if there was anyone on FC who worked for such a company and how it may have helped them in their later careers.
