Hey everybody, My wife and I are staying another 3+ weeks in Florence and we're wondering if there are any Ferrari events happening within close proximity? In the 2 weeks we've been here, we've only seen one Ferrari (in Sorrento). Nothing in Florence or Rome thus far. I'm going through withdrawal symptoms not having my cars (360, 550, and Maserati Spyder). Theyre all hiding back in Seattle in storage. :-( And, whats worse, the Ferrari factory is closed through February!!! Argh! Well try to hit the Maserati and Lamborghini factories just the same, but were still missing out. Any ideas? Wed love to possibly meet some owners over here and ogle over your cars. Thanks! Tim & Debbie P.S. The Rome Ferrari store had a 1996 year book that I picked up. It has the 550 world introduction. Talk about taking a trip back 10 years!
I'm affraid there aren't At least, not that I'm aware of. Hope I'm wrong. Sadly you missed the Enzo gathering near the Ponte Vecchio in Florence not that long ago. That must have been an amazing sight. Furthermore, a pity that the factory is closed while you're there But still Maranello is always worth a visit. Enjoy your further stay in Italy. It's a great country IMO. I really love Florence, was there in june and will return to the neighbourhood in september Of course there are lot's of other great cities in Italy... with Rome as absolute number one. Regards, Alexander
I don't think it's closed every Feb. I heard rumors that they're changing the factory line or something like that so they want to keep the tourists out. Either way, it looks like well have to take yet another Italy trip sometime. Oh well !!
The Mugello race track is very close to Firenze. You may want to see if anyone is doing any testing in preparation for the upcoming season. BTW: While in Firenze, there are 2 great restaurants: Omero and Mamma Gina. Actually - there are a LOT of great restaurants in Toscana!
