Anything meets in October ??

NHIS (Louden, NH) open track day October 5 and 19th from 8am to 12pm. You must be a competition licensed driver. Anyone wanna meet up for track fun, or just to watch?

You need to join the FCA, but its a great event. Glenn does a great job. Hopefully there'll be less rain than last year...

 

Don't they ever have open track day on Sunday?

 

I'm helping organize an FCA Rally Sunday morning, October 1st. We'll be meeting in Acton, MA, at 9:30 am, and rallying through North Central Mass into NH, ending up in Concord at the Draft bar and restaurant for lunch and the GP OF CHINA VIEWING (!!). Open track is Thursdays as the weekends are usually booked by SCCA, COMSCC, SCDA, NASCAR, etc. There is a COMSCC event October 21 & 22

Dude, just call in sick from work on Thursday (as they won't think you are taking a 3-day weekend) and drive down to NHIS and arrive at gate opening at 7am. As you know, track driving is what your Ferrari wants, not some lousy 55mph speed limit with a Volvo doing 50mph in the far left lane on the highway and it will not get out of your way. Love Fcar club events, but it seems at nearly every event i attend some low-life marketing guy or guy looking to network accosts me. Love it when they realize i drive a 'lowly 308' so they run away thinking i am broke LOL! Maybe Dennis can allow us to root out these guys or chill them out with a public display of humiliation?

BTW: you do not need a competition license for COMSCC or SCDA and they do provide instructors accordingly. There are many other clubs and may 'run' with a few of them in 2007, but SCDA and COMSCC are two i have experience with, plus FCA Empire Region events of course. PCA also have events but not sure of dates for NHIS. The guy from Aerosmith attends PCA events. i heard that Paul Newman will be at a Miata club event, but forget where/when.

 

Man, i wish it was that easy.

The boss can't call in sick or take a day off. I have a hard time having the kids show up for work. Sunday is the only day i'm closed.

Someday i'll see you in action.

 

(Said in good humor) Here's a plan... On Wednessday night just tell the wife you are going out to buy a pack of cigarettes... the rest will work itself out

Oct 05 is ONLY for motorcycles i was just told by NHIS. Oct 19 is ALL DAY CARS

Imagine 8 hours of open track for $200!!
