Anyone know of something that will at least help the clearcoat when it starts to turn whitish and fading? I know when you get it wet it is very hard to tell that there is a problem until it starts drying then the whitish comes back. Any stuff that goes on and keeps it looking like when it's "wet"?

    Just quick question.

Second that. I tried those 3 step wax/polish products and no results at all.

I'm assuming you're trying to salvage the old clear coat. I only thing I can think of is attempting to wet sand the auto with 1500 or 2000 grit. Then use a lambs wool pad with compound on a rotary buffer very carefully so you don't burn the existing clear coat to the paint. This type of job can be a lot of work so take you time & don't rush through it. Also, I got a product from Jano that might help as well. I hope this info helps, let me know how the progress is going.

    What year are your cars?

It may not be clear coat if it is white and chalky but rather a single stage paint. Take a cleaner/polish and rub it on the paint with a rag, does the color of your car transfer to the rag? If so then you have single stage paint and it's oxidized.

If no color transfer you have clear coated paint which does not oxidize like single stage. Let me know and I am sure I can help you out here....or take it to a qualified detailer in your area.
