    Hi,

I have asked this also in Australia Thread, because I want the Australian opinion, but what about in the rest of the world? Would you buy an import or not? Whats wrong with them?

I guess all are imports for the likes like F40, F50 and Enzo here, are they? anything wrong with them?

    Let us know.

    thanks

In Australia, all cars brought in outside of the authorised distributor are complianced as private imports, with a green metal compliance plate stating as such.

It depends on the market the car was originally produced for.

A 512 Boxer was never built for the US market so those that were imported had to be modified at high cost with additional safety features (horrendous bumpers), lights and emissions equipment to meet US Department of Transportation requirements.

    Check your laws carefully.

I've assiduously avoided grey market cars because here in California, it'd cost at minimum, a good $5,000.00 USD just to get the thing in compliance with the emissions regs.
