I saw this 328 on Ebay about 4 months ago. Loved the wheels (reminiscent of the 288 GTO) but have never seen them offered on another 328 so I assumed they were an after market addition to this one. The seller never responded to my inquiries so I figured he had already sold the car or was a broker and didn't know. Can anybody identify the manufacturer or if this was some kind of factory option?
The have a very purposeful look to them that just seems more aggresive than the standard dished 5 stars on the 328 series cars.

Those are HREs (504s or 505s I believe); no longer in production for about 5 - 7 years.
    Truly beautiful and well made.
Robert Garvin had a set he was not using on his car.

will those wheels fit on the later 89 ABS-equipped cars? They are very beautiful and I'd be interested in knowing where I can purchase a set. Anyone have any for sale or know of any?
    Thanks,
    Ricardo

Of all the add-on wheels I have seen on 308/328'2 these look the best. Would like to get a set for my car. I agree with one of the other posts that they give the car a more purposeful look.

www.usacomp.com has that style wheel for the later 328s. Depth of the wheel is less due to the offset, and the centers are painted, not chrome. Here are pictures of 17 inch on a 1989 328.

There's an FChat member with some similarly-styled Compomotives on his 328. He's a NorCal member, and his screen name is "blue328gts" or something to that effect. If you search the NorCal threads, I'm sure you'll find him and a pic of his car.

    In person, it's freaking *GORGEOUS*.

Since the HREs are no longer available, I think the Compomotives are quite good - just wish they didnt have that locking keyhole in the center cover.

Here is a picture of HREs on a Mondial 8:

It's quite beautiful with the HREs - do you have any more photos?
How did you like the Euro Mondial? - I have always heard there was a difference between them and the American versions.
