Hi all, after the 812 gts bought a 458 spider. Is there any possible way to get Apple car play to integrate into current upgraded factory sound system? Thanks.

User dailo here has been trying on and off to swap in a f12 infotainment but I don’t think he’s made much progress.
it’s not CarPlay, but the most reliable connection is a 30 pin to lightning adaptor. Some people have had good luck with some Bluetooth adapters but not most.

Thank you. Any way to play music when stuck in traffic from iPhone to 458?
If not looks like Waze will have to be with a belkin holder in one of the vents so I don’t lose my license. Ugh.

A lot of people have been successful streaming via bluetooth if their 458 has the iPod connector using: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G3893JY?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. You can read about it at https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/the-solution-to-458-music-bluetooth-woes-has-finally-been-discovered.666287/. It seems to work pretty well for everyone, but me.

It works for me, I just mount my phone and now I have Waze and BT music and BT phone. Once in a while I have to redo the connection but its been surprisingly stable. The one thing I found was to use the more simple setting vs the one that allows more metadata.

If your 458 has the IPOD option, you should have a 30 pin connector in your glove box. You would connect the INVERY to the 30 pin connector (or use a 30 pin/lightning adapter to connect your phone directly).

Your right TFT screen on the Media setting will show iPod and will stream bluetooth from your phone:

I used the Invery with my iPhone in a Belkin phone holder that sits in the Cupholder for an 1800 mile tour across French and Switzerland.

The connection held up well throughout with phone providing tunes via Spotify and directions via the TomTom app. Waze works too, but I had TomTom to make use of pre determined route files.

I havent found anything reliable with the Bovee/Invery devices. I am going to try this device (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JLNDHJV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) once I get my radio back on line in the 458. It suddenly quit working altogether. It might be just what you need for music ftom the radio while in traffic. Just a guess though. Someone else on the forum has had good luck with this. I think my setup will be an old refurbished iPod on the 30 pin adapter for stored music when needed, and this device for streaming via an unused FM station. Seems about the best that can be had with the 458.

We are in the same place. I just upgraded my 1st generation iPod Nano (2GB) to a 6th generation iPod Nano (8GB). it's a little weathered, but works better than the Bovee and Inverey (for me). I also have an FM Transmitter. It works great, when I can find an empty FM channel.

I’ve been using Invery for. Year and it’s been perfect. Syncs every time and always shows me playlist.

I have a 458 Italia with a 2013 model year, and I have seen in various places that the Apple Car Play feature can be added to the vehicle. What is the most practical and easiest way to do this? Can you enlighten me on this matter?

I have tried to do this With an audio installer using a proprietary add-on method and it introduced many errors and conflicts. It worked at first but recently the cluster motherboard went down again. I don't think there is any simple or foolproof way to do this. Recently, a lot of interest has been generated by . I have emailed them and they are very responsive. GL.
