Posting from the Apple Store in Southpark...yet again! Gotta love the freedom they give you... I'm testing a 12" Powerbook right now.
They need seats in there! There's approximately...zero. I had just picked up a suit and I had nowhere to put it for a while until I went to a G4 desktop and hung it from the handles on the computer Their service sucks .
Its been especially bad at the Genius Bar lately. People can't seem to figure out how to use iPods. I had to wait for 1.5 hours just to drop off my Mac, and another hour to pick it up.
The reason they don't have seats is so people don't spend all day in there. It is the same reason why the interior of McDonalds is sooooo ugly and have disgusting colors all over.
huh. The one here has been open 1-2yrs and I still haven't stopped by. We had another before that but it was tiny-never visited it either. Compusa sells them and I've checked them out there. I'll have to check out the new one. Its nice you can see and try things before you buy rather than just order online and relying on reviews.
The problem is that iPod owners aren't necessarily Mac users so you've got two groups being forced into the same area- techies and 16 year-old girls looking for pink iPod cases. I'd also rather shoot myself than mingle around an area called the "Genius Bar".
The only genius that would change my mind about hanging out there would have to be 5'11", blonde, and stacked!
