Thinking about selling my F355 and can use some advice from people familiar with Ferrari market on what to expect for pricing (e.g. high/low, selling channels, lead time, commissions, prep, etc).

It's currently at the shop getting a new wheel bearing, and a couple minor items (light, parking brake, shifter seal) fixed. Should have it back mid week next week fully serviced. I need to either sell it by the end of the month or rent out a garage as I'm moving to downtown area and the new place only has off-street parking. So not fully decided if I should sell it or keep it.

The car is 95 F355 Spider - 6spd, corsa red/tan int, 38k miles, major and some extras (tires, stickies, interior leather) done in May 2013 at Scuderia Rampante. Clear title. There is some wear on driver side seat bolster (as shown in the pics), and a scratch on the right back wheel, not sure if I'll have time to get those corrected. I haven't kept up with Ferrari market in a while, so not sure where it's at right now. I think they were in 40-50K range last year. Would appreciate a second opinion.

    Thanks!

If I were looking, and I am always looking for / at something, I would consider $55K max. I am cheap.

I'd suggest you take a look at ebay, DuPont registry and autotrader. You have a nice car and it's a plus with a recent major and tires. Higher miles and spiders are a plenty.

I'd say you are looking at $50K and who knows how long on time. Summer is coming near the end and that may hurt you a bit. I think you should be looking for a garage to rent now.

Don't sell. Rent a 10X20 storage unit. Odds of selling it in a month are slim unless you give it away. Maybe you might want to talk to the guys at F40 (Carini and crew) and put it on consignment. You would probably get more for it, even after a commission, than you can get privately.

$45k "quick sale" price to $55k "spring/summer just starting" price (which isn't the case). This is private party pricing of course. Retail would be much higher. Maybe placing it somewhere on consignment would kill two birds. You don't have to deal with the sale and you don't have to have a place to store it.

I see prices all over I was talking to a guy at Exotic Auto about trading mine in. He said I just sold a 95 with lower miles on it for $36,000. I said if you did your an idiot..he hung up on me

At first, I was going to say rent a space, but I think Steve hit it. I have sold three cars via consigners, and I have been happy. Of course, you have to have knowledge of that person and his reputation. Set a reasonable net price, and negotiate the storage.
