Yeah! My brother got a call-back from NBC today regarding his Apprentice application video that I produced for him. They loved it. He is going to the 2nd round of interviews this Sunday and when all goes well there, out to LA for psych exams- then to meet Trump. 9 hours of filming, 2 hours of editing = a minute and a half of produced video. Tell me again why my film didn't make it at Cannes? Wish him luck! Nick
Sweet deal. Best of luck! I thought about trying out for it but I didn't want to miss 2 quarters of school for it.
What, may I ask, is a "psych exam"? Do you mean to tell me previous contestants have actually passed exams relating to mental health? I can't believe it....I mean....Amarosa! So tell us about your brother! What makes him a good candidate? We all want to cheer for him, but we wanna know why! Best! Wes
I am sorry, but I think that show is REALLY idiotic and 100% contrived. Good luck to your brother anyway.
Trump is just cheesy period. They guy can turn a deal and he is clearly very smart and successful but he is living proof that money cannot buy good taste and style. He is the picture boy for "new money", not that there is anything wrong with that. I loved on the first season when they visited his penthouse home. Lots of gaudy gold braiding, gilded EVERYTHING and mirrors all over the place. It looked like a cheap Vegas hotel suite, the one they use to impress the "high roller" from Omaha. I was laughing out loud at it all.... and he was so proud of it he was about to bust. Hilarious! I agree with MMM. The show is contrived and the winner actually wins little more than a figurehead title. It is fun though! Terry
Can you please tell me why he wants to lower himself this far as to appearing on one of these contrived BS programs? Appearing on TV is not that bigger deal ... and it DOES not make you famous or a celebrity, what you do on TV does (ie. playing sport, movie star, etc.) ... it is just a medium not THE thing. But I wish him all the best of luck. Pete
I think the psych exam goes as following: Doctor: "He shows several signs of bi polar activity, and he's a pathological liar..." Mark Burnett: "Perfect, he's on the show!"
Thanks for all of the good-luck wishes! He founded Recruits.com, a website that matches high-school athletes with college coaches seeking talent. He has grown it to thousands of customers over the past four years which is a pretty stellar achievement for my kid-brother... he's only 22! As for the show's detractors, I know there are many. I don't watch it often, but when I catch it I am entertained... and I guess that's the point. Why he wants to participate... because he wants to wipe the floor with the other contestants. I am confident that he will as long as he can use his cellphone to call me. I'll keep you all updated as the interviews progress. Thanks, Nick
Nick, Well atleast it is not 'cause he thinks it will make him famous or something, 'cause it won't ... all these programs are different flavours of the Jerry Springer show, and in many cases they seem to attract the same quality of contestants. Achievements speak louder than television appearances ... Again best of luck. Pete
Hey Nick, The Houston Chronicle Sports section of Thursday Feb 3rd mentioned recruits.com in one of the articles about what HS student went to what college, just so you know...check it out
Awesome! I can't seem to find it online though, I emailed Chron so they'll send a copy. Thanks Amir! Nick
